I was anxious to open my first bottle and weigh in on the debate. First glass of wine I can remember that I was unable to finish. Usually able to find some quality in every wine to appreciate. Not the case here. Artificial cotton candy/marshmallow fluff/ child's' cough syrup combination. All of natures' imprint on the grape just wiped away. Truly disappointing. Will gift away my remaining bottle..

Earth, dark cherries and spice. Medium finish and decent acidity. Went well with pork roast tonight. Have been holding off on Sojourn single vineyard pinots from 2011 up to now. Out of Sonoma coast so it's time to open them

Pleasant. Nice acidity. More tropical fruits then I remember. Enjoyed on a warm Charlotte night but not sure I would purchase again.

Tremendous value. Baby barbaresco that is drinkable now and has many of the characteristics that I enjoy in this producers' riserva barbaresco bottlings.

Better than last bottle. Earth and tart red fruits. Nice acidity. Really enjoyed with grilled shrimp and asparagus. Will finish bottle tomorrow and see how it evolves.

Upon opening, I agree with others, too much oak. After an hour, however, it became a pleasant cab with dark fruit rising above the oak. Enjoyed, but wouldn't buy again.

Tasted at Familie Perrin dinner at Charlotte WIne and food festival. Quite simply, one of the finest white wines I have ever had. Amazing bouquet of citrus. Flavors of Lemon, vanilla and crushed rock. Great minerality. Delicious. Ordered a 1/2 case in wooden box. Looking forward to enjoying continued development through time.

Opened 4 hours before drinking. Should have decanted as wine developed in glass over 2 hours of consumption. Dark red fruits and spice. Modern style. Rich, powerful, smooth. Very accessible now. Not thinking this will age well over the long term but presents a beautiful Barolo to enjoy now while others of similar age sleep in the cellar. 93 pts.

Deep, dark black fruit and cassis. A little closed despite 2 hour decant. Tannins prominent. Will hold off a few years to drink next bottle.

Purchased based on Galloni review and 93 pt rating. Pleasant dolcetto but lacked depth and complexity mentioned in review. Sipped throughout thanksgiving afternoon. Did not make strong impression. 2 bottles to go. Hoping for more next time

Tasted in Italian alps last spring. Was the most eye opening wine of the entire trip (piedmonte and veneto). An explosion of pear, vanilla and lemon. Long finish. Complex. Flavor profile keeps changing during 30 sec finish. Not generally a fan of dessert wines, but his one blew me away,

PnP'd. Plump juicy black fruits but retains a rustic character true to tuscany. Really delicious wine for price. Wish I had bought more for 20$.

Opened 1 hour before consuming. Delicious cab/Syrah blend offering the best features of both varietals. Bold jammy red fruits initially (Syrah) followed by mid palate and long finish offering mellow tannins, cassis, dark chocolate and oak(cab). Really enjoyed with summer BBQ. Will be looking for more. Was even better on day 2.

Very nice PnP. Bought this after tasting in barbaresco at winery. Bright red fruits and enough tannins to provide structure. Food friendly acidity. Would decant next time as it evolved over 2 hr consumption.

Big fan of this producer, but this bottle disappointed. Drank after 1 hour decant. Nice ruby color and promising nose of dark red fruits. On the palate, however, the fruit seemed dull and the tannins seem to dominate the flavor profile. Will wait another few years to have remaining bottles and use longer decant.

Dark, dark purple. Huge black and blue fruits, moderate oak and firm well integrated tannins. Long finish of dark chocolate. Pretty decadent fruit bomb but not in a bad way. Very enjoyable with sharp cheeses. Not sure i would have it with a meal. Enjoyable and good QPR.

Wow. Big, lush dark fruit and firm, well integrated tannins create a beautifully structured, unique blend. Steadily improved over 90 min drinking window. Definitely decant. Glad to have 5 more bottles and see how this wine evolves over the next few years (if I can keep hands off of it!)

Last of 4 bottles consumed over last 3 years. Wish I had waited on all of them. Beautiful dark red fruit, long finish. If you are sitting on any of these, I would drink now. Hope my 2009s continue to improve as well.

Disappointing. Not an expensive wine but based on excellent press I expected a nice everyday drinker. Dull fruit. Not very interesting. Short finish. Makes me happy to stay with italy and Spain to find best QPR. Would not buy again.

Drank with Manley's while sitting next to Mandy Patankin at Good food on Montford. Silky smooth texture. Red cherries and vanilla with well integrated tannins and medium length finish. Loved this wine in Piemonte. Great with food here in the states.

Decanted 6 hours. Beautiful dark cherry, earth and rose petal nose. Tannins still very prominent hiding some of the red fruit. Was very good, but has potential to be great in a few years. Nice QPR. 25$ wine library.
