Nose started out with a strong Grenache-like strawberry jam profile that reminded me of a Cotes du Rhone. Some garrigue too. Evolved toward cherries and cinnamon. Some heat. Very grippy with nice lift from the acidity. Modest finish. Would never guess Nebbiolo blind -- particularly based on the nose. Still, an interesting and very food friendly wine.

Starting to really open up now. Wonderful nose of black fruit, black currant and cherries on the palate, tannins more integrated though still prominent (decanted 2 hrs). Long finish and great balance.
