Very powerful Pinot. Drink soon!
White - Sparkling
Aromatic and defined in the nose, with a little bottle age the yeastyness wears off a little and juicy red apple and discreet red berry aromas become more prominent. On the palate this Champagne is remarkably elegant and fine while showing crisp acidity and a creamy, long finish. Always a pleasure!
White
Superb Aligoté! This wine has everything that I like about Aligothé: finely defined aromas of pomacious fruit, a waxy component and extensive minerality on the nose. On the palate with laser-beam precision and ripping acidity, although being juicy and gentle on the finish, reveberating elegantly and smooth. Great value!
White - Off-dry
Expressive Aromas of white peach and ripe apricots. With some breathing-Time the wine expresses a clear maracuja aroma. On the palate the wine is powerful and elegant, with precise acidity and profound minerality on the Long finish. Great value!
White
In the best sense a classical and well-made Mosel Kabinett. Clear aromas of peach and apricots, nice slate-smokyness and almost no indication of bottle age on the nose. On the palate the wine performs elegantly with a nice fruit-acid-play and a mouth-watering finish. Need more!
White
This is unconventional! Distinct aroma of aceton, rather interesting than defective though. Behind that there are aromas of quince and pear, combined with a certain waxyness. On the palate the wine shows intense minerality, good precision, a juicy mid-palate and a long finish. The aftertaste reveals nice tertiary aromas of walnuts and rancio.

Consistant with previous notes
White
The wine is in a perfect spot now! Fine petrol aromas, elegant ripe citrus fruit and the typical cool freshness and smokiness of the Rheingau region. Very mineraly and with lively acidity in the attack, well garnished with juicy fruit on the midpalate and spritzy on the relatively long finish. Great classical Riesling.

Great Buntsandstein-Riesling! Finely structured aromas of citrus fruit and apricots. Superb minerality and cool freshness already noticeable in the nose. Very linear on the palate. Fine acid-play. Fruit resembles on the finish. The wine stays fresh and spritzy all the way to the last glas. Nice!

When first opened, the wine still made an impression of being relatively shut-down and dominated by oak. After half an hour, spectacular red fruit, fine smokyness and floral aromas of cherry- and strawberry-blossom start to appear. The wine evolves constantly, gaining more and more elegance and freshness. The oak-flavors are well integrated, noticable and present but never in the foreground. Instead, this wine enchants with red fruit, power and great elegance, and a long finish. We were surprised by how juvenile this Krafuss still is. A mouthwatering pinot noir experience!
Red
Very expressive nose of mulberries, blackberries and dark cherries. There is a little bit of the characteristic spicyness of freshly grinded white pepper as the wine breathes and develops. On the palate this wine simply shows sappy and lush berry fruit. However, it is by no means one dimensional. The fruit is assisted by exciting acidity and freshness, the tannins are just right and mellow, and the wine shows nice precision and length on the finish. Delicious!

White
Fine nuances of white flowers and honey, quite "waxy"on the nose. After 1 hour of decanting, the wine shows aromas of ripe citrus fruit and the characteristic herbaciousness of the Marcobrunn. Fresh and almost juvenile on the palate, with persistant acidity and amazing minerality on the long finish. This wine is in a great spot right now!
White
Intense golden color with slight hints of orange. Very complex aromas of herbs, orange peel, ripe exotic fruit and well integrated oak seasoning. The tertiary aromas of honey and rancio are giving the wine extra dimension and character. On the palate the wine is powerful and packed with aromas. Great acidity and structure add to the long and mouth watering finish. What a superb wine-experience this is!

The oak perfume was still very dominant on the nose when the bottle was first opened. During the first glass, the wine made a very young impression, with tight fruit aromas, lots of oak and refined spicy elements. The longer the bottle's been open, the more the typical herbaciousness of the Blaufränkisch takes over on the palate, providing good structure and juicy but present tannins. The finish shows nice acidity. The Merlot component really shows on the nose, providing ripe cherry fruit. Good wine. Needs at least 3-5 more years though.
White
Very fine nose of white flowers, bakers yeast, pomelo-chutney and freshly baked brioches. The wine keeps evolving with breathing-time, resembling fine notes of classical Champagne. On the attack the wine shows freshness and lively acidity. The mid-palate is lined with a mellow texture and a superbly embedded minerality. On the finish the wine shows great structure and hints of tannins. The wine has great length with superb persistence and captivating elegance. Wow, all of this at Villages-level! Great wine, chapeaux!
White
Wonderfully complex, intense and ethereous nose of freshly cut herbs (typical for the Hühnerberg vineyard), lemon and lime peel, beeswax and honey. Also, there are nuances of botrytis and freshly grinded nutmeg to be found. On the palate, the wine is concentrated and compact with intense minerality, a perfectly integrated acidity and an intriguing tannin-structure on the finish. This wine keeps evolving with time, changing its aroma profile constantly and becoming ever more fascinating. Seriously good Riesling!

Great nose of dark cherries, berries and ripe plum. There's almost no sign of bottle age here, despite the fact that the wine is now 13 years old! On the palate you can definitely tell the wine's age. The fruit is almost gone, but still reverberates in the aftertaste. Aromas are made up by peppers, spices and a certain herbaciousness. You can still tell the origin of the wine given that it still shows the typical Rhône-Syrah aromas. On the finish the wine seems rather thin and haggard with an intensly spiking acidity. This sure is interesting, should have been drunk a while ago though.
White
Classical Jura-style wine with notes of quince, honey, wax and baker's yeast. The dominant aromas of walnut and salty manzanilla sherry resemble from the wine's oxidative style. On the palate the wine shows fresh and youthfull acidity, distinct minerality and nice precision. This is a food wine.

Quite nice on the first glas. Typical smokyness of a German pinot paired with juicy red fruit, rather high on the oak though. On day two the wine already makes a quite oxidised impression and the oak aromas become even more dominant. Good length, finesse missing.
White - Off-dry
Fine floral aromas paired with a hint of green pear and a powerful minerality already noticable on the nose. On the palate this wine is crispy punchy with great precision and tension all the way to the finish. The fruit plays a rather reserved role, giving way for the wine's remarkable minerality and saltyness.
Red
Wow this was a superb bottle of wine! Rich aromas of mulberries, garriques and tar. Very nice nose - classical Rhône style. Well structured and powerful on the palate. There is some elegance due to a nice little acidity tip on the finish. So much fun to drink!
Red
This wine is on its peak right now. Merlot shining through providing meat and lush juicyness, there are distinct aromas such as cigar box here that infer from a well integrated oak seasoning. On the palate the wine is lush and juicy with nice structure and balance on the finish.
Red
Powerful wine with a strong character, showing well the qualities of the Sangiovese grape. On the nose it displays intense aromas of heart cherries, freshly cut herbs and tobacco leafs. On the palate the wine surprises with its rather big acidity and meaty structure, while being elegant and linear on the finish. Nice one.
Red
Very nice indeed! Intense aromas of ripe red berry fruit, red peppers and tobacco leafs. Nice classical Cabernet Franc nose. On the palate, the wine shows superb structure with nicely underlined juicy tannins, densely packed aromas and elegance. The oak plays a Big role, is not dominating the wine though. This is a great Drink now, but can go a couple of more years too.
Red
Absolutely stunning bottle of Pinot Noir! The nose is youthfull and fresh, full of sour cherry fruit, red currant and a well-done oak seasoning (in fact, the oak impression intensifies with more breathing time). Very expressive and full of flavour. On the palate, this wine is superbly elegant, with finely grained tannins, mellowness and juice, and great persistence on the finish. This wine seems to reverberate for ever, with great precision and elegance. One of the best bottles in a long time!
Red
Very classical, but superbly made Chinon. Strong vegetable and herbacious aromas in the first nose. Behind that, the wine shows impressions of ripe peppers, white pepper, and cold coffee. On the palate this wine is nicely balanced, with great elegance on the attack, fine vegetal aromas on the mid-palate, and mellowness as well as freshness and a fine bitter-tone on the finish.
White
This is unusual! Nose of fermented apple, a fine impression of nuttyness, almond paste, pickle water, the smell of hot sand, on the back end a mediciny component and a brandy touch to it. On the palate this wine at first strongly resembles of a Manzanilla Sherry, raisins and walnuts. A powerful wine (15% vol.) with a strong and gripping acidity, and clearly yeasty flavours on the back-end (like top-fermented Belgian beer).
White
Fun wine. At first it shows a fresh and lively characters with green apples and pear with hints of mirabelle. The longer this wine is opens, the more it developes aromas of quince, honey and a slight impression of yeastyness. Also, on the palate the wine develops a rather smooth texture with the acidity withdrawing to the background.

Powerful wine, densely packed with dark berry flavors. Quite international nose with aromas of black cherries, mulberries and cigar box. On the palate this wine shows enormous structure and extract, with noticable and rather bumpy but not dried-out tannins. Long reveparation, quite alcoholic and a bit "rummy" on the back end, oak plays a bit too much of a role. Needs food company.
White
This is in a great condition right now. Very aromatic with the typical hint of hazelnut and brioche combined with ripe citrus fruit and exotic notes. Very rich on the palate as well. The oak is well integrated, great minerality and a fine tuned acidity. On the finish this wine shows remakable freshness and liveliness. Nicely made Meursault.
White
Well now thats a nice Riesling indeed! Lush aromas of passion fruit, red apples and cassis. There's a slight hint of petrol and moderate herbatiousness on the nose. On the palate the wine has force and persistance with sweeping minerality and perfectl acidity. On day two the wine shows a noticable increase of residual sugar and softness. Superb wine!

This should have been drunk 3 or 4 years earlier. Still there are intense aromas of black pepper, black currant and tar on the nose. On the palate, the wine seems livelier on day one with a pointy acidity, but a hollow mid-palate (almost no fruit left) and dried-out and somewhat saggy tannins. On day two, the acidity appears to be even spikier and the remaining elements of the wine seem to be on the ropes. Too bad i left it in the cellar for too long!
White - Sparkling
This is one of the finest champagnes available imho. There's so much going on here and the nose is ever-changing and constantly evolving. Aromas of apricots and orange-peel underlined by a discreet impression of slightly toasted brioche coated with salty butter. The longer this wine is exposed to oxygen, the more the nose evolves and becomes tucked-in by exotic fruit aromas. On the palate this wine is extraordinarily elegant and maintains its freshness to the last drop, while being well-structured by minerality and mousse.
Red
Superb wine, very luscious and easy to drink! Aromas of ripe cherries (as the name suggests), a tiny hint of barnyard and laurel. On the palate i've rarely seen a juicier wine than this one, stuffed with aroma, purity and freshness. Needless to say that the content of this bottle disappeared in an instant....
Red
Lush nose: juicy mul- and blueberries, a hint of tar and tobacco, underlined by the typical notes of freshly grinded black pepper. On the palate the wine shows bulky but juicy tannins, but lots of freshness and mellowness. Great Crozes!
White
Very nice and classical Mosel-Riesling. A slight touch of petrol and smoke on the nose, intense aromas of green apples and peach - just nice. Slight and elegant on the palate, the residual sugar content is perfectly in balance with the wine's great acidity.
White
Superb first nose: smokyness, quince, honey, freshly melted butter and brioche. As the wine opens up, the fruit becomes more dominant and develops notes of fermented apple, wax as well as hazel- and walnut. Very complex. On the palate this wine shows powerful minerality and lively acidtiy. At first, there a little hint of sweetness, the mid-palate and finish are totally dominated by freshness and bone-dry minerality though. This is a great wine!
