Very nice Bordeaux flavors; still lively with some fruit, but lots of tertiary flavors have developed. Oak is just right- recognizably present in the background, but not overwhelmingly. Good time to drink and enjoy.

Fruits (blackberry, cassis) are well balanced with acidy and melted tannins. The wine is dark and full. Tertiary notes will improve over time but it's not a crime to pop a bottle now (min. 2 hours decant).

As for Gevrey-Chambertin, I think that Nuits St-Georges are good values in this crazy world of overpriced Burgundy wines... This one could age 5 to 10 years more easily. Still a good balanced wine with fruit (raspberry), white pepper, thyme. The extra cellar time will allow better integration of toasted oak background.
