Very dominant struck match quality; not particularly refreshing or complex so falls between stools a bit.

Honey and herbs; SB but not; perfect aperitif wine.

Looks like cherry cola; tastes like nothing else I can describe (I can't remember what cherry cola tastes like); closest experience is vermouth and I treat as an aperitif, drunk fridge cold - tempted to put some ice cubes in it next time. Not a criticism but not sure when or with whom to drink it. So esoteric it needs a philistine approach.
Red
Red fruits and lavender; very satisfying (comforting) with beef stew with chestnuts. Somewhat drying finish but amazing value for the price.
White
Honeysuckle and Jasmine fragrance followed by an unmistakable Apricot and Naartje mouthfeel. In particular that Mandarin sensation really evokes SA. Fresh and long and Great as it warmed up with chicken.

Red
Red fruits + cherry - very sweet and vibrant with hint of pepper; uncomplicated but great balance for the price.

Fully mature; needs food.

Not enough green notes for me but then it is mature Cab Franc so perhaps I should not have expected that (I've never drunk an 8-year old Loire Cabernet Franc so not sure if that is always the case).
