Has potential but still way too young. Decanted 2 hours and didn't help. Give another 3 years at least

Was hoping for a winner here after reading the WA-94 and WE-93 reviews. I decanted for 3 hours but it didn't really need it. Soft tannins, smooth texture, some bold fruit but not rich or complex, low acidity, and short finish. Of course there could be some bottle variation. WA said to drink through 2027!! I don't see that happening as I thought it was ready now. WE wrote in 2011 to drink over next 5-6 years. I usually don't agree with WE but I think they got it right.

Southern Rhone wine from appellation way down near the sea-Costieres de Nîmes. 50% Syrah 50% Mouvedre. Floral with darker fruits and spice along with some herbal elements. Maybe a bit of mineral from the Mediterranean sea. Good structure. If you like Gigondas and hint herb for $11, go for it.

Big Cali chard, oak n butter nose and palate, lots of white fruit with some butterscotch, maybe caramel, good acidity which leads to a long finish, Its a power chard heavyweight! I'm a heavyweight too so I was a formidable opponent and a good match. I also drank this on a sunny day at the beach watching the waves roll up which also contributed to my enjoyment. Just like I'm doing now as I write this.....

CdP goes so well with the fall weather. So had to give this CS a try. Suprisingly lighter in color and body and overall disapointed. Nothing terrible but just seemed flat and missing the acidity, herb, spice, and plum balance expected. Although there was more fruit than expected. There is the well known theory that CdP's can "shut down" or go into a "dumb phase". Never been a fan of that theory....BUT, could be the case here although 2011 was a slightly above average vintage (91 WS). I drank a 2004 Domaine Montpertuis CdP in 2009. No, I don't have excellent wine geek memory, I checked my CT notes. Anyway, I loved the 2004, tho it was slightly better vintage, and I drank it 5 years after vintage. So maybe this just needs a litttle more time to open up out of the "dumb/shut down" phase. Hopefully so, $30 is a good price for a CdP, but there is some risk on this one evolving

Heavy full bodied mouthfeel, gobs of fruit, skittles, and even a hint of Syrah! Could be better with a little more acidity. But its good for this style and with the new price reduction, even better compared to the avg price on wine-searcher of $63. Drink this last, your palate may not recover for another wine.

Blackberry rounded fruit with a lot of wood, subtle tannins. Its okay for a $16 Merlot, slightly better than the mass produced, knee height merlot's. There was a Hogue many years ago that was a great buy. I was thinking this was the same with an updated label, maybe not

Noticed the alc was 15.9 before I poured it and it showed from first sniff and taste. Decanted for one hour. Bottle doesn't detail the blend but I w.ould have guessed mostly Zin. Dense and rich fruit, black cherry, cranberry, plum, spice, little vanilla, touch of tobacco on finish later on. Good acidity. outstanding wine and I enjoyed it but the alc is still very evident. Will hold my other bottle for a while or give lots of decant time. Maybe a full day

Decanted 3 hours. Interesting wine. Syrah and Grenache -CA central Coast trying to emulate a Rhone wine. Lighter color and lighter body then expected. Lots of black tea flavor, baking spice, black pepper with red fruit. Its very pure and clean with good balance. At the beginning I found myself trying to figure it out but by the end I was just enjoying it. Although I was thinking more of Chinon then Rhone. Recommend

I've enjoyed the other Vineyard Found wines so I had to try this one. Decanted 2 hours. Smells of cocoa or caramel. Immediate smooth mouthfeel, with lots of chocolate/mocha/cocoa, dark fruit, black cherry and some vanilla. The acidity hits after and really brings this wine together with some zing and good lingering finish. Highly recommend.

Decanted 2 hours then gave it a swirl and sip, seemed a little watery with some earth but not much secondary flavors. It really didn't open up until about 5 hours when the fruit, tannin, acidity, and typical BDX flavors came together. A good but not great wine. If I had another I would probably give a couple more cellar years. Otherwise a longer decant

Gave a 2 hour decant. Cherry and charcoal nose, palate is medium bodied with earthy/dirt, dusty, more cherry and charcoal, with touch of chocolate, good acidity. Finishes with a little stewed tomato. It's a decent wine if you like Carmenere, but it doesn't really float my boat.

Very satisfied with this $11 bottle. Pooped and poured and got better with more air. Good toasty berry fruit, just enough oak, maybe some secondary flavors of chocolate. Good balance but could use a little more acidity. Next time I'll give more decanter time. When I purchase an inexpensive wine, I'm just happy when it doesn't have that artificial fruit and candy taste. This one does not. OTOH it's not complex but delivers as a solid wine for $11. I consumed my case of the Erasmo for a daily drinker so looks like this will be next on the menu at Chez 2K .

Wow, this is a big teeth staining wine. The color is inky black. Palate is dense, full bodied with dark berry, mocha, kinda syrupy, thick. Good acidity and silky tannins, it all came together but its also kinda port-like. You won't drink this one fast, sit and sip, it's going to take a while. If you're into this style, I highly recommend.

I've enjoyed many previous vintages 04-07 of this wine. But I stopped buying as the price increased with the hype. Gave this @ 3 hours decant. Mixed red and blue fruit, good acidity, jammy but not over the top jammy, more balanced and restrained then expected. A good wine, but not as good as those previous vintages and probably not a shocker as 2011 was a bad weather year down under in Aussie land. Although my Sheila enjoyed it.

Boom! Heavy and rich, woody, dark fruit, fig, with some graphite. Excellent Chilean Syrah (if you like this style) and a definite slow sipping wine. The wife and I got tired and went to bed before we could finish the bottle........and that's a rare occurrence.

Decanted one hour, lots of vanilla with black currant, and some spice. Nice Paso Robles cabernet from an excellent vintage. Good tannic structure and acidity. There's no mistaking the Cali cab character here, it just not Napa, but could be. Not that much depth, mostly vanilla/oak, (in French barrels for 18 months) but a very good buy at $16 in PA--Picking up more.
