From a 375. Decanted as it was extraordinarily tight, if fragrant, upon opening. Elegant floral nose shows rose petals, violets and smoked caramel; never had any but will try smoking caramel just for kicks!

While the wine is softening it’s still incredibly dry and tight. Will let m’y remaining 375 sit for a few more years or will allow several hours of air. Note to pick up 750s if still available as it shows pedigree, just that the fruit is buried beneath tannins. Structure and potential rates 92, could see this go 1-2 Pts higher with time and/or proper handling.

A return to form for this wine after a stewey, pruney bottle in August. This bottle, which came from the same case as previous bottles, was a leaker unlike previous bottles, but did not show worse for the wear.
