From a magnum. Two hour decant. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood, but nothing special here. Couldn't even call it a fruit bomb, as it was surprisingly restrained. A bit better at the end of the night when I went back for a taste, but that may be more a reflection of the state of my palate at that point! Closed? In a dumb phase? I've moved on from this stuff? We'll see...

Big wine with berries and spice. Beautifully integrated, and drinking perfectly. I can't imagine this will get better, but it may decline.

3/16/14, 1:19 AM - Peter- Here in Melbourne with JimN, we met over a steak in London when I was over for an offsite with Vanguard. Had the Marcassin Pinot last night and Peter Michael Chard along with Mount Mary Pinot, Yabby Creek Pinot and By Farr Geelong Pinot......big night. Backing up tonight with Araujo Syrah 2006 and a Rockford Basket Press 2000...... Wish you were here.

Pop and pour. Slight bricking with some change in color to rust. Aroma is still light and fruity. Palate has red fruit, leather and some tar. I believe this still has life left.
