Opened two hours in advance. 750ml. bottle, 14,46% Vol., blend with 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Riedel Vinum Bordeaux glass. Full bodied powerful wine. Dark purple color. Black fruit, some spiciness and heat at the end. Long aftertaste. Little bit chewy. Can be drunk now, but some extra time in the cellar would be beneficial to better integrate everything. On the second day everything tasted smoother and better integrated. Realy enjoyable wine.

Opened two hours in advance. 750ml. bottle, 14,5% Vol., blend with 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Riedel Vinum Bordeaux glass. Nose is closed. Not much going on. Medium bodied. Shorter aftertaste. Some plums and licorcie. Wood. Very dry. Chewy tannins and pronounced acidity. Alcohol is well integrated. Flavours are hard to detect at the moment. This wine is too young but everything is there to have a good wine in the future. Will hold on on our other bottles and try again in two year. No rating. Showed a lot better the second day. Much more open, some fruit, enjoyable aftertaste. Less tannic and less acidity.

We had this wine already several times. This time we had it with bread and cheese and then the rest of the evening. PnP. Riedel Vinum Bordeaux glass. 750ml. bottle, 14,5% Vol., blend with 88% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc. Shiny deep red collar. Medium to full bodied. On the nose sweet vanilla-tinged oak and red fruit. Taste sour cherries and then some licorice. Long aftertaste with at the end dry and some tannins that are still pronounced. A little heat at the end. Good acidity. Well made and structured wine with excellent QPR. Already drinking well but with some additional years in the cellar this will drink even better. 90+ score in the future for sure, at the moment a solid 90.

Couldn't resist trying one. Opened six hours in advance. No improvement the second day. Way to young. Medium bodied, nice red color. Nose is closed. Everything looked and tasted as premature. I'm curious when and if this comes around. The 2011 was also not convincing me a year ago. Not rated. NR

I loved the wine as an easy "drinker". But have to admit, no terroir feeling. Nor the feeling you are drinking something special. It is soft, full bodied, tasting the wood, vanilla, dark red fruit. Very ripe, wouldn't hold drinking, is perfect now. But for me not worth the pricetag. At that price I'm expecting more personality or "peculiar". (love the movie).

From 75cl. Had this with cheese, pate, bread... Opened 3 hours before meal. No decanting. Different then the Il Poggione 2010. Medium bodied. Lighter red color. A delicately nose. Some fruit. Easy drinking. No improvement on day 2. Not that much going on for the moment overall. Expected more. Maybe not the moment to open this bottle? No score.

Drinking the Gosset Grand Millésime from mid 90's. Together with Bollinger GA one of our favorites combined with food. Not suited as aperitif. Les complex then the Bollinger GA but that's no problem. Darker yellow, fine bubbles, rather thick, more vinous, love the higher % of Pinot Noir. On the nose almonds, brioche, realy lovely nose. You taste both the PN and Chard, lovely combined, realy good mouthfeel. As I said... Love this one.

From magnum (1.5L), dinner with friends. Opened 3 hours in advance, no decanting. Medium to full-bodied. Beautiful shiny red color. Silky, unctuous texture.
For me why I love Brunello. Cherry,s, cherry's, cherry's... on the nose, taste, color... Long finish, well build and structured wine. Finished the bottle on the second day, liked it even more. Will wait a year to drink another one. We tend to drink our wines young.
