Light Garnet color that seemed to darken quickly after pouring. Leather and sour cherry nose. Very little fruit on the palate but presence of cherry notes and stiff tannins. Was very enjoyable with a plate of bucatini all’amatriciana and impossible to identify as a 21 year old wine. Surprisingly good

Very dark garnet. Very strong nose of ripe black cherries, licorice, and a faint hint of pencil shavings. Dark fruit, minerality, touch of acidity, and medium tannins.

My first bottle of NG Grenache and I would like to reserve judgement until I try another one. I opened and let it breath in the bottle for about an hour.
Deep garnet color, powerful rich raspberry on the nose, heavy raspberry and blueberry flavors on the palate. The wine felt too rich and overpowering for my taste. I tasted again 24 hours later and the wine was flat and without any substance. I don't know if I finally found a wine I don't like or if it was just an odd bottle but I do look forward to trying another one with a better outcome.
