Dinner in Celebration of two CD releases (Ponsonby): Really nice wine and great value in a sturdy South of France style. Warm, alcoholic and tannic with a beautiful marriage of the various varietals. The Syrah and Grenache, in particular feel very well judged here. Great to drink now for its richness and flamboyance. I imagine this will age and develop, but for my tastes, this is best now.

    8/6/14, 5:56 PM - For a CD release I would splurge with a Ma Belle Eaux. Also from Languedoc. $5 more but worthy of the arts!
