Extremely well made wine, albeit still very youthful. I checked in on it since I have not had it since 2020. It hasn't budged. While still very primary, it is unmistakably left bank Bordeaux. Now that I am approaching the age of 50, the Bordeaux that I buy will be from classic vintages (like 2014) vs. best vintages (like 2016) and 2nd growth and below. Why? I want my wines to mature faster so I can enjoy mature Bordeaux before my time on earth is up.

8/17/22, 8:14 PM - Thanks to zimmy07 for reviewing my post. I had some 1998 and 2001 before. Condition was perfect. This is my first experience in 2000. That's not bad. At least some people like this style, but I don't.

My wine is not like other reviews. Maybe I didn't keep well. It looks too mature. It is medium bodied. The wine looks rosy colored. There is a some sediment in the bottle. It smells like raspberries and raisins. It tastes like cranberries, strawberries and apricots. The sweetness is high.

The colour is half way between garnet and mahogany. Lovely nose of dried red fruits, new leather, dried herbs, sour cherry, roasted chestnut and the remnants of some spiced oak. No VA and very little funkiness! Super smooth, with tart dried red fruits, medium plus acid, no tannins and unnoticeable alcohol. Medium bodied with effortless fruit extract and perfectly balanced. Finishes tangy and dry, but not too dry, with lingering sweet and sour cherry flavours. Just delightful! Amazing with black truffles and fresh pasta.

Decanted 1 Hour. Full aromatic nose. Medium body, red berries on the nose. It tastes like plum and coffee in the palate. Very balance of tannins and acidity, elegant and with great length. Good to drink now. Enjoyable and affordable price.

From a half, tasted over two days, and next to a 2014 vintage bottle. Clearly from the same place as the 2014, though compared to it, this did not show as well. And, this assessment is not based on excessive power, reticence, or edginess, none of which were present.

A solid wine, typical of varieties in place. Quite ripe, and thus not showing the power typical of this Chateau. Might it add power and weight, turning more traditional? Certainly. Would I expect it to? No.

Much better from the bottle than from the barrel, the round textured, forward wine provides a plummy, licorice, espresso and dark cherry nose. Polished, lush, ripe fruits, licorice and espresso complete the experience.

Bordeaux 2015 in bottle (Zurich Arvi / Singapore UGCB): A lovely wine, lots of forest notes, with blackberry, good mid mouth volume. Tannins could be a touch finer.
