Top quality cab franc in a warm vintage. Best to wait 3-5 more years to fully enjoy as its just a baby right now.

Fine, long and concentrated. Nice mix in between integrated oak, tertiary forest floor flavours and fruit. In a good spot right now and likely hitting its prime to keep for another 7-10 years

Fragrant, classic sancerre nose.
Quite restrained, lean and fresh with nice length. Not the depth of best vintages

Nice fresh and smooth medium bodied garnatxa, far from the big and bold style of priorat with fine tannins.

Warmth of the year shows a bit with slightly jammy fruit and more opulent style. Drinking well right now, peaking in likely 3-4 years

Starting to peak. Volatile a bit high on this bottle and fruit is fading. Tannin not fully resolved yet but body is loosening. Wouldn't wait too long for the other bottles… 2-3 years top to enjoy at its best

Good, a bit too vegetal but 1er cru weigth and silky

2005 Château Haut-Bailly Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
9/4/2021 - Rickytoc Likes this wine:

Nice drinking window at the moment reaching its prime with a good mix of fruit and tertiary flavours. Tannins are fine and mellow and surprisingly tamed for an 05. Elegant mid body structure typical of Pessac
Drink now or over the next 10 years to enjoy at its prime.

Needs around 2h decanting to show its beat. Rich yet elegant with glycerol. Quite classic but might not have the weight of the best vintage.

A bit oaky but succulent and velvety, still a baby

A bit disappointing, felt it was harvested a bit early and it lacks some the tannins ripeness and fruit complexity with the stems inclusions dominating in flavours. Still a good wine that needs another 3-5 years to reach its peak

Rather monolithic and not very expressive, quite ripe (too much?) and lacking the freshness you should get in Champagne.

Typical Savoy, more concentrated in 2015 and showing less complexity at this time but with great purity. Rich yet elegant with beautiful ripe tannins. Really good Anderson valley pinot

Good wine, lacking in power and contration for its pedigree. Well balanced, fresh, reductive winemaking with alluring aromas. Well made, hopefully will add some fat and should integrate well the oak in 5-10y

2015 Château Beauregard Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)

One of the best Beauregard yet, althought 16 is supposedly a notch better. Nice purity of fruit, precision and lighter extraction than it the passed with fine ripe tannins. Softer edges witha plush round mouthfeel. Drink now or over next 10 years. Owners wants to get the quality up to Clinet and Hosanna. One to watch

Delicious, rich and full. To drink over the next 5 years as not as much stuffing or length as the Chassagne but a great option to discover PYCM style and wait for the other 1er cru

This bottle was marked by cabbage notes of reduction that never left after long oxigenation. Except fior that, great balance and freshness. Less volume than Châtenière and beaudines, more taunt and filigree

Pretty outstanding, close to Chevalier Montrachet in profile with much volume, dry extract and power, while still keeping nice tension. Too young right now and needs 5-10y to reach its peak

Beaudines is drinking well right now, fresh elegant and clean finish. Not as much volume as others but much delicacy for this less known 1er cru

Well made, seductive nose reminiscent of LLC 2014. Structure could be a bit more polish, wait for it.

Quite good, rounder version in 2012 with still a fresh acidity. Somewhat prefer the more burgundian 2013, while this is the warmer version.

Good but not a significant step up the Trocken in 2016, prefer to pay double for the crus that have more depth and concentration and keep the trocken for drinking in its youth.

A solid Cepparello, needs quite a bit of air to open up like any of the Isole Olena wines, but once it does, it probably is the one of best sangiovese for the price. Elegant, long, complex

Impressive, complex, beautifull nose. Nothing compares in Barbaresco, Giuseppe Rinaldi's equal. Traditionnal, weightless yet coatinh the palate. Fine grained tannins. Will age well.
