87 points
Sorry, this is not a 94 point wine. It is very tasty and a solid value. When we poured into the decanter, the nose was sharp cranberry and red raspberry, very much like a Cabernet from the Alexander Valley. The taste on the palate was considerably softer than the nose with an upfront, very ripe raspberry jam and red cherry flavor. It gets an 87 because of a very persistent flavor of crushed red raspberry that with very proper acid, continues from lips to finish. More air and time in the glass reveals more red fruit, mild tannins, decent acid, and some secondary enhancing flavors of tobacco, licorice and tar.
