Surprised by how well this wine held up. Great nose, color was bright red. Decanted but probably didn't need to.

Tart cherry on the nose - amazingly fragrant. Very classic Pinot Noir - delicious from the first sip. Didn't notice any changes an hour later - still lots of tart cherry, very light tannins, smooth finish. Paired well with grilled salmon. Unfortunately our last bottle of this gem - such a great wine at a great price.

Perhaps I held on to this too long, or maybe it wasn't a great wine to begin with. Have really enjoyed J. Dusi wines in the past, but this one had no complexity, no richness in flavor, and a very "thin" mouth feel . . . just not very enjoyable.

Full Bodied with a velvety finish, and the most wonderful mouth feel. Reminded me why I was so enthralled with the Cabernet Sauvignons from this winery when I first stumbled upon it several years ago.

Good nose - a little aged, but still a lot of big fruit. The taste that kept coming through was predominantly herbal and forest-like. Even on the second day . . . lots of herbal aromas and taste.

Held on to this bottle too long.

Opened and decanted for a couple of hours before drinking. HUGE fruit - blackberry/blueberry and a smooth but surprisingly peppery finish. This big wine paired well with ribs prepared with a seasoned rub - then some smoked and others oven-baked.

May have held on to this bottle just a little too long. Drank after a very short decant. There was a little sediment on the cork, but none really in the bottle. First few sips were nice, but little character or depth to the wine and did not change over time. Paired nicely with some wagyu ribeyes . . .

A very "simple" red wine with little character, but food friendly. This Merlot-based blend is easy to drink, but not very memorable.

Made the mistake of having this AFTER sharing a 2010 Kosta Browne earlier the same evening. While I usually enjoy Whitcraft's big nose and fruit, it was too much after the delicate and complicated Kosta Browne. Not a bad Pinot - just not a great one.

Delicious nose, opened up nicely after 45 mins. but will still hold on to a few bottles for next year . . . still young and will only improve with time.

As it opened, peppery flavor became more pronounced. Not a bad, everyday Zinfandel for the price.
