-Nose: rich, smoky, jam, slightly minty
-Palette: Savory, inky, rich texture, high tannin coated your palette, good acidity and 15s+ aftertaste
-Overall: Alcohol just a little bit too prominent, a vivacious red built for the long haul.
-Bought from Vivino at HKD118 (~US$16). Surprising quality at the price level.

Nose: Tropical fruit, palette: rich, thick and slightly creamy, reasonable acidity. What are plump lady. Not my type of wine. Better serve at lower temperature.

Had laid down in my cellar for 12 years. 05 bordeaux had excellent potential for aging and this one showed. fully matured, smooth tanin, slightly cedary and mineral. 20s+ aftertaste . Just right alcohol to my taste. Rich but not heavy. Easy to pair with food. Unbeatable value. Hats off to Sociando.

Fully matured chilean cabernet.
Fairly mellow tannin which suprisingly could still give structure to the wine. It tasted like a sweet/ sour plum juice, touch of oak, good minerality at the end, med+ body, long long aftertaste, very luscious and luxurious. Brilliant.
Bought it in 2008, so it had slept in my cellar for 13 years. Great wine to enjoy in great moment with my 30-year old friend’s birthday.

Plug n pour. 12’ was not a strong vintage. Primary fruit was almost gone. This wine was fully matured with tertiary bouquets, such as black tea, hawthorns & aged tangerine skin. Almost salty too. The pallet was thick and smooth. This poyferre was good, however it didnt change throughout the course of dinner and lacked expansive bouquet to become an excellence quality wine to me.
Drink up.

The cat will be out of the bag once this wine is uncorked. Dark, big, bold& already complex red. Obviously for the long run. In fact, the more i’ve tried Beaujolais crus, the more i love them. Excellent value.

I didn’t reckon this 08 bordeaux was like that. It was simple red fruited, slightly woody, thin, and alcoholic. In fact, it lacked the beauty of merlot; I reckoned it might have passed its peak. What a hollow wine.

Suprisingly concentrated for this region. You could smell the alcohol from the wine although the it was only 13%. Therefore, the wine was slightly off-balanced.
You could pick up violet, dark cherry as well as some cassis on the nose, which echoed on the palate. The was quite solid in the palate too.
Well priced beaujolais cru regarding to its quality, only $200 hkd a btl; however i wouldn’t consider this could be a replacement of pinot noir IMO.

Bought in burgundy in 2017.
Nice aged chambolle. brick red in colour, still some red fruit left, slightly gamey and taste of undergrowth, light body and smooth in the mouth.
Overall not bad. drink up.

Had it tasted in wine tasting event which offered me a chance of tasting 12 pinots at the same time.
100% HIT me on the nose, intoxicating, slightly farmyard, red cherry, strawberry, herbal. All you want from a good elegant Pinot.
The pallet was soft and very smooth. i would rate it higher if the pallet was a bit more stronger and firmer.
Anyway, this is a real beauty i was falling in love with. Asking price was around HK$700.

Have Ashton hill estate Pinot for many occasions. It is always one of my favourite Aussie Pinot because of good QPR, just hk$260.
Dark fruited and herbal (on the good side) on the nose, med body, round, good depth of flavour and acidity on pallet.
Overall, it is not an elegant type of Pinot but I just felt warm and satisfied every time when I am drinking it. :)

Colour: Deep violet, of course for such young vintage
Nose: bold, Intense dark/ red berry, licorice, iron, lightly earthy
Pallet: full body, slightly salty, just right acidity, long aftertaste for 20-30s. the tannin came out after some air
I think the wine is well crafted as the alcohol was not obvious (14.5%), definitely the wine for winter, good cellaring potential and worth the price tag, hk$320.

Fresh bottle extracted by coravin. Slightly cherry, dry pallet, normal acidity, med body. It tasted like a generic house wine in Italian restaurants that u could get for hkd$40 to $50/glasses. Very ordinary. I bought it for hkd320, really not worth the price tag.

I bought this wine in 2006 in Malaysia for about hkd$234, which sleeping in my Vintec for a good 9 year.
Extracted by Coravin. Colour is glossy and still dark with just a little bit brick at the rim. Start showing signs of maturity. Nose of complexity with slightly burn rubber, plump, herbs and licorice. The palate is round, full body and echo the nose. Good acidity at finish with around 20s aftertaste. Very good. Keep wanting more. At Hkd$234, what do you think?

44-year-old. Of course it is old and mature but it is still lively. Nose: cedar, 山渣,slightly smoky and brown sugar and some fruit still there. Palate, soft, medium body, tannin is almost gone, very elegant, nice acidity n salty aftertaste for 20s. It is out of expectation.

From memory. The weakest vintage in decade. Matured Bordeaux nose. Medium- body, hollow mid palate. Finish with stemmy aftertaste. Drink up.

Oh..........What's the potential of this wine? What's wrong with this wine? With 13 years in the cellar, it was still like a new wine. Lot if sediment. Color was black in the centre. Nose was very very closed with just a little bit red fruit and menthol. Creamy, full body and chewy tannin in the mouth. It seems that something needs to unfold with more cellaring time but I felt too much tannin. Can anyone tell me how long should I wait?

Colour was still dark with rim in garnet. Nose showed citrus and aged Bordeaux characteristic. Oak was almost fully integrated. Medium+ body. I could sense energy for its biting tannin (like it!) low acidity typical for 03. The most noticeable memory of this wine was the intense mineral aftertaste. In fact, the aftertaste was salty! Reach early drinking stage. Should leave it for a couple of years.

Fruity nose, still young although 13 years old. Balanced but didn't show much complexity. Medium+ body. Still in adolescence and should improve further. Still have 2 bottle in my cellar. Will give another 3 years before open the rest.
