Reserve fruit makes the difference! Much softer than the 1995 which is great as well. Less acid than 95 but still has great backbone. Do not decant or air it out at all. The 95 you need to for an hour. Awesome wine and top 10 all time

I blinded this wine with 8 people and all guesses Pinot noir new world and some old as well. They were very surprised at the aroma and complexity of this. Very soft and pretty wine on its own. Super value.

Was on the tail end so if you have a 1998 please drink it now. Very earthy wine but also tart and fruit forward

Strong and inky. After sitting to open turned to a smooth velvet texture.

Powerful wine. Very good with elk and steak. Could use and hour to decant and open. After that it was very smooth with light tannins

My favorite example of French style in Cali. Crisp enough for light foods but balanced for anything.

Great wine. Decanted for an hour or so and tannins were soft afterwards. Full wine and great with duck and also any red meat. Had with cured meats as well. A fine bottle with time

Just smooth as all get out. Exactly what you expect from Lancaster. High quality and not too much steel

Not flushed with tannins. Had it with some sausage and it was great. Not overly jammy.

Grapefruit up front. Acidity was not bad at all. A super bargain
