1982 Château Léoville Barton. Klassisk, "old-school" Bordeaux fra St.Julien. Fortsatt mye rødt i kjernen, mursteinsrød kant. Søte bær (solbær), mynte, sjokolade, sigartobakk, røykt kjøtt, veldig sammensatt. Bløt inngang med fin syrlighet, tanninene er omtrent helt smeltet bort. Lang ettersmak. Strålende vin fra Bordeaux's første virkelig varme årgang. Lagret 33 år i egen kjeller, en helt perfekt flaske (94).

2010 Christian Moreau Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos (93+). Klassisk moden Les Clos. Gule frukter, fjære sjø, honning, nøtter, smør. Helt moden grand cru chablis, nydelig balanse og fylde. Deilig til grilla kveite med urtekrem.

Young and vibrant chablis premier cru. Citrus, apple, chalky minerality, seabed. Medium bodied with mouthwathering acidity and lime/apple also on the palate. Give it 3-4 more years.

Classic Léoville Barton from a hot year. Extremely balanced with fantastic depth of fruit. Cassis, spices, baked peppers and lead-pencil. Full-bodied and elegant with fine-grained tannins and sweet cassis fruit. Will age well.

I bought this bottle at the property in St.Cristoly, Médoc in 2010 for almost no money. Lovely mature Bordeaux that's taste like a classified growth. What a bargain!

Great effort from Robert Ampeau in a warm vintage. Perfect at 21 years of age; light golden, not very complex but hints of nuts, butter, honey and sweet tropical fruit like mango and pineapple. Very balanced with nice acidity and great fruit on the palate. Unbelievable this is an ordinary Bourgogne Blanc.

From two hours in decanter; a perfect mature Nuits-Saint-Georges premier cru. Still plenty of primary fruit combined with hint of oriental spices. Very long finish with silky tannins and balancing acidity. A very strong effort from Patrice Rion.

A great Chianti riserva from the-always-to-trust producer Fèlsina. Has just reached its plateau pf maturity; sweet-and-sour cherries with nicely balanced oak and spices. Firm and full-bodied on the palate with mature tannins and great complexity of fruit. Will last for 10+ years.

From decanter after four hours. Directly from the bottle a bit tart with dried fruit and herbs. From decanter and glass much more sweet and floral on the nose with marked character of cherries and anise. Still a bit of tannins in the finish but the sweetness from the fruit and the overall complexity of the wine make it quite balanced. Long aftertaste. A great Barbaresco in the end of its mature window.

Very well made Chardonnay from this small winery at the Balearic Island of Menorca. Fermented and matured in barrique. Typical chardonnay with hints of pineapple, oak and butter. Balanced on the palate with nice acidity and and a bit fat structure. A very nice wine with shellfish, grilled fish and chicken.

From magnum. Chianti classico riserva at its peak. As always with Fèlsina: A wine in perfect balance with sweet and sour cherries, chocolate, spices, leather and thyme on the nose. Mature and fine tannins, exceptional fruit and balanced acidity on the palate. Will last for ten more years in a good cellar. A great effort from one of the best producers in Chianti Classico.

Nydelig duft av kalkmineraler, integrert fat, modne gule epler og lime. Ung vin med nydelig syre, "saltiness", gule frukter i smaken. Meget lovende og en strålende tysk Chardonnay.

Moden og holdbar Rancia riserva fra Fèlsina som alltid leverer. Nydelig kirsebærfrukt, lær, krydder. Strøkne, finkornede tanniner med nydelig balanse og kvalitet. Benchmark Chianti classico riserva.

Dekantert med 2 timer på karaffel. Klar rød. Duft av søte plommer, kirsebær, anis, skogbunn og med mineralske toner. God fylde, bra balanse med tydelige bitterstoffer i finish. God lengde og struktur. Interessant og god vin. Bør få 4-5 år på seg.

From magnum. Showing extremely well and is definitely at its peak. Light golden, very fine mousse, on the nose yellow apples, nuts, butter, peaches, brioche. Full-bodied, good acidity and balanced. Long finish. Mature champagne at its best.

Very nice english blanc de blanc (100% Chardonnay). On the nose lemon, green apple, some brioche and yeast. Very fresh on the palate, medium bodied and fine bubbles which explodes in the mouth. Great effort from English Oak winery.

Very good Chianti Rùfina from one of the best vineyards in the area. Still quite young colour with a bit brick red at the rim. Typical Bucherchiale-nose of dark cherries, raw meat, farmyard and some integrated oak. Very fine tannins, balanced acidity and a strong cherry fruit makes this a pleasure to drink. Could have stayed some more years but this was my last bottle bought at the winery in 2003.

Pure class effort from Fèlsina. Quite mature Sangiovese but will stay for another 10 years. Have all the benchmark quality for this wine: balance, pure sangiovese fruit with very well integrated oak. Full bodied with the typical mature tannins, and a very long finish. And compared to other super tuscans, good value.

Wow! A fantastic bottle of Gruaud Larose 61. Nothing much to say ; simply a quintessential mature red Bordeaux in perfect shape. The finish last for minutes. Sweet fruit. Cigar box. Fresh acidity. Still some soft tannins. Very much alive.

A great Sangiovese! Dark red with almost no brick rim, delicate aromas of cherries, nuts, leather, spices and oak. Full-bodied and elegant with nice acidity, exceptional fruit and a quite tannic finish. Long aftertaste. Wow!

Deep golden with quite lively bubbles. On the nose very developed with mature yellow apples, brioche, nuts and mushrooms. On the palate quite full-bodied with surprisingly nice acidity and freshness. Not as oxidized as expected but defenitely in the end of its drinking-window. Needed food to show its best. Served with fillet of veal in a creamy sauce.

Finally this beauty has reached the plateau of maturity. Dark red with brick edge and overwhelming aromas of coffee, tobacco, leadpencil, cassis, cedar and spices. Bright and fruity with the 86-tannins finally softens up. The aftertaste last almost a minute. Definitely 1.cru-standard and it will last at least two decades.

If one could imagine a mix of Nebbiolo and Sangiovese I think it would have been like this. Leather, cherries, violets and smoked meat on the nose and a mature taste with nice acidity and mellow tannins

Great Riesling from a top producer. Complex nose with hints of lychee, yellow apples and peaches. Balanced on the palate with a bit residual sugar. Quite fullbodied but elegant.

A very impressive version of this wine. Very fresh, fruity, complex and fullbodied. Aromas of cherries, volcanic minerals and leather is quite evident. It's in a very good condition. A strong effort from Cornelissen, seems like some of the bad bottles noted are due to poor storage. This is a wine without sulphur added and needs cool storage conditions. It also needs decanting, but will as most natural wines never be totally clear.

From magnum: 3 years old, still extremely fresh and fruity with hints of red wineberries, raspberries and red apples. Quite fullbodied and with a long finish. Definitely one of the best nebbiolo-roséwines.

Pale yellow, very young, on the nose green apples, honey, gasolin and minerals. Modest sweetness with a vibrant acidity, medium bodied, quite long. Seems extremely young for its 27 years, will last for another 25.
