Brunello 1990 Horisontal Tasting (@ Canan): Very very impressive nose that is hugely intense and just packed with complex impressions; sewer, eucalyptus, coffee, smoke, tart cherries, cranberries and rusty minerals.
The palate is equally impressive and is dominated by a cranberry style fruit and a little red currants. The age shows as mushrooms and forest floor in the mid-palate.
An incredible wine that turned out to be as good as I had hoped for. The complexity and purity is just impressive
Everything is fully integrated in a pure and impressive expression of Sangiovese.
One of the best Brunello's I have have ever tasted!

Beautifull wine. Very fresh, but I dont think it will get any better. It confirmed the former experiences, that I had with Flaccianello. 10 years is the peak. I will drink now and the next 2 years

8/6/15, 6:17 AM - Well. I opened it 6 hours before and emptied the neck and then the wine took air slowly in.I have never liked to old flaccianello. Tried many vintages the wine in my opinion goes down when old Tried many big vintages like 88 magnum and 90 both long gone. I prefer many other sangiovese to this, but when you hit the right moment like I did yesterday its great

2010 Cerbaiona (Molinari) Rosso di Montalcino Sangiovese

This Rosso from Cerbaiona set a new standard for RdM. A very traditional made Rosso, with a very long living potential. A lot of fruit and spices. A very pleasant nose and nice medium dark color. This wine needs another 2-3 years + before it reach it's potential.

Diego is the master in Montalcino, and I can tell everybody, that the 2010 Brunello will sent all the others back to the vineyard to try to find out, what Diego does better than all the others. I tasted 2010 Brunello, and have one in the cellar given by Nora just after bottling in september. Its out of this world. By the way. I gave the Rosso 2010 95, and was closer to 96 than 94
