6/26/23, 1:52 PM - I agree with you about this wine being OK for the money, and I would love to hear your recommendation of a few reds (cabs, zins, merlots, Bord blends) under $20 that hit above their weight. Thanks!
8/29/22, 7:11 PM - It's drinking well now and also would hold up to more cellar time if you don't need to free up the space. :-)
1/30/22, 9:21 PM - I agree. Drinking well today but it still has some cellar time ahead of it.
12/24/20, 8:17 PM - Update, Day 4: Poured through a Venturi again and it reminded me, in a vague way of the Cos I used to quaff in grad school in the mid 80's. It's obtained slightly more black fruit, but none of the luscious cassis that defines the ripe Cos. The irony is that when I was working my way through grad school, towards my Comp Sci Masters, with programming jobs in the summer, I was able to afford the under $20 bottles of Cos, Lynch Bage, Pichon Baron, Ducru, Sociando Mallet, etc. But now that I'm an accomplished SW Engineering Executive, I can't afford the $250+ that those Super Seconds demand now. Sigh.
12/25/20, 9:47 PM - That's a good plan. Fortunately, Costco had these at $160, but they don't get the '82s and '95 in stock. :-(
3/2/13, 11:08 AM - I really enjoyed your analogy. Your tasting notes are both entertaining and informative. I look forward to reading others. What do you think of their Zin?
2/28/13, 9:19 AM - I really enjoy reading your tasting notes. You have a gift for turn of phrase -- "There is better to be found at the level this bottle wants to play." :-)
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. We will review your comments and be in touch soon with an update.
