I was happy to grab a few bottles of this before it was #2 in the WS Top 100, which I suspect will make it difficult to find.

This is a very good Syrah with a complex nose of blackberry, pepper, licorice and cooking spice. The finish is super long and it's just a little bit hot in terms of perceiving alcohol, but well balanced.

The wine is drinking well now and could get more interesting with a bit of cellar time, maybe 3 - 5 years. Not for long-term aging.

7/31/20, 7:56 AM - Correcting my own tasting notes. Just had a second bottle almost three years later. Would still rate at 93 or so, but this has better aging potential than I anticipated. The level of complexity has definitely increased and I think this could go up to 10 more years in the cellar. Drinking great now, may be even better as it ages further.
