Grenache 35%, Cinsault 25%, Pinot Noir 20%, Syrah 15%, Roussanne 5%. Spontaneous fermentation. 3 weeks skin contact. Elegant and earthy nose with raspberries, cherries and black fruits. Floral hints. The palate follows with a slender and silky mouthfeel. Mouthwatering with juicy fruit. Light fresh tannins and a nice balanced acidity. Cherries and blackcurrant. Some spice along with very subtle and well integrated oak. Long finish with red berries and a gentle bite. Will buy again.

Peachy, tropical nose with hints of oak, nuts, tangerine and some bread. The palate follows with silky smooth creamy texture and ripe yellow apples plus some butter. Medium concentration. Medium acidity. Dry and (unfortunately) slightly warm finish with oak.

Fresh and fruity ZA PN. Needs lots of air. Best on day two. Nice and clean cherry and floral nose with a pleasant spicy pinot character. Earthy notes. Fresh and juicy on the palate with herbal and floral notes. Red berries and some mushrooms. Nice gentle bite from silky tannins. Long finish.

Great (budget) Beaujolais from Jean-Paul Brun. Vinified in traditional burgundian way. Gamay from vines situated 300 meters AMSL in Charnay. Clear ruby red colour. Fruity nose of cherries, raspberries and red currants along with floral and spicy hints. Fresh acidity on the palate with great concentration. Juicy fruit of raspberries and cherries with tingling minerals. Light fresh tannins on the way out. Serve chilled. Undoubtedly the best bojo you can get in this price range IMO (below 20 USD).

Fresh and unoaked with dark and red berries, floral notes, and a nutty earthy herbal character on the nose. Some leather and spice in there as well. The nose gives me some solid new world PN vibes. Earthy minerality. Fruity and elegant on the palate. Soft and fresh. Lightly acidic. Fresh, tight, dry and slight metallic finish.

Light ruby red. Heaps of red berries and fruits on the nose. Strawberries, forest berries, cherries, raspberries and floral + forest floor hints. The palate follows. Very juicy, fruity and delicate with a nicely dry freshness. Mouthwatering. Long dry finish with fine tannins. Quenching and very quaffable. Super QPR!

A new vintage of this super fresh and delicate high quality gamay juice from 80yr old vines in Morgon, vinified by one of my favourite Bojo producers, the Lapierres. Vibrant and lively nose with raspberries, strawberries, cherries plus a herbal touch. Floral hints along with a touch of cassis and anise. Really slender and delicate on the palate, but fruity and juicy, with great acidity to match. Raspberries, cherries and red currants. Almost nonexistent tannins, but still exiting, never dull, and in balance. Not very complex, but so clean and so pure. A quenching, delicious and refreshing finish with good length almost prevents you from putting the glass down. Goes down so fast. A go-to high QPR bojo for hot summer evenings. Serve chilled.

Fresh and vibrant nose with heaps of red and dark fruits. Cherries, strawberries, raspberries. Floral and perfumed. Spicy hints. On the palate fresh and juicy of course. Great acidity. Cherries and strawberries. Some spice. Good balance, but lacks the complexity and depth you find in cru bojos. Long dry slight acidic finish.

Transparent brownish red. Atypical ZA PN. Nose of ripe cherries and jammy dark fruits. Dusty hints along with some earth. Silky and soft texture on the palate. Warm and jammy style. Ripe cherries and plums. Long rustic finish. Not my cup of new world Pinot.

Fresh and clean nose with cherries, herbs and blueberries. Additional floral and mineral hints. Nicely perfumed. Soft, fruity and juicy on the palate with red fruits like raspberries and strawberries. Long finish with a slight bitter sting. Edit on day two: Better balance, the finish is more harmonic, and without the sting.

Ruby red. Cherries, some herbs and a subtle funky pinot character on the nose. Soft, rounded, juicy and quenching mouthfeel. Cherries and strawberries. Fresh acidity. Silky smooth tannins. Long slightly dry fruity finish that lasts.

Brownish red. Floral and perfumed cherry nose with a nice earthy minerality. In addition, a perfect amount of very subtle barnyard funk. Acid driven palate. Medium body. Fresh red berries. Cranberries, strawberries and a pronounced minerality. Long dry finish that is ruined by a bitter and astringent sting upon exit. Great nose, nice palate, but the exit wrecks it all. Flawed?

Fresh cherry and herbal nose with raspberries, forest floor hints and minerals. The palate follows the nose. Youthful and lively. Silky smooth mouthfeel. Fresh acidity. Long dry and delicious finish. One of my favourite spätburgunder in this price range. Needs lots of air.

Cherries and ripe red fruits with a nice and subtle pinot character on the nose. Slender and silky texture on the palate. Cherries and blackberries. Good concentration. Fruit forward. Quenching, fresh and juicy. Nicely dry finish with fresh tannins. Long.

Brownish red colour. Fresh and intense nose with a distinct pinot character, cherries, herbs, nuts and wet forest floor. Funk and pepper. Hints of rubber. Youthful and slender on the palate. Red fruits and some spice. Slight bitterness that vanishes upon aeration. Fruit forward. Lacking depth and complexity. A bit off balance - on the acidic side, which doesn't advance on day two. Long medium dry finish with fine grained tannins that provides a nice grip. Nose: 92. Total: 85.
