Let's put it this way. Out of 25 different cabs, Barolos, and Syrah/Grenache blends this was absolutely the WOTN. Lots of dust and must on the nose, some cedar and forest as well. However, a romantic explosion of blue and black fruit and that perfect aging that only a 25 year wine provides. Made me think back to 1995 and where I was in life, my journey and how far things have come. Amazing to see this wine just got phenomenal over the same time.

To me this wine says everything about what great old Napa wines are about. Bordeaux driven in style with that Napa fruit you can't miss. Elegant, with a long pleasurable finish. Lots of pencil shavings and graphite. Black fruit and cassis abounding; however, it's a 33 year old wine so there was lots of maturity on it. However, it still has a decade to go.
