Not a good experience. Nose.is off - some poop and a tomato leaf streak. On the palate has an herbal.streak that is too strong. I get that its cool climate, so these elements might be there, but they are too far forward to be considered character. As wine opens it muddles these elements together, but not overly enjoyable to me. YMMV.

This is delicious. Came together really well after an hour or so open and 1/2 hour in the glass. It needs air for sure. Wonderful fruit but enough mouthfeel to carry it along. There is fat and some savoriness in the back to balance it put, and I get the same silkiness that others have called out. I find that in many Bedrock syrahs. This is CA wine, I don't get crushed rock but instead find silky sunshine and deep red fruit. Excellent, and excited for the One and Two which are up next.

I don't really post tasting notes on CT, but feel moved to here. This wine is just flat out great, and drinking very well right now. I've had 4-5 Bedrock and Carlisle wines from the vintage, and can't remember any being nearly as impressive as this. Great fruit, and enough acidity and structure to keep it honest, but moved well enough along and out of the way to let the fruit shine through with grace. Zinberry all along, layered and full. Great job on this one, Team Carlisle!
