An intriguing wine. The nose is very restrained. But the palate is very big. Lots of salinity, length, power for a white wine. Light citrus, apples, pears.

This is definitely a high quality parcel. One of the rare wines where the palate is definitely better than the nose. Still young. 94+ in the future.

Light, floral, whole cluster. Good wine but a bit pricey for what it is.

In a blind setting of 12 cabernet francs, I rated this the best wine overall. I did not know at all it was this wine. I though this one would finish in the middle of the 12 wines. Not the most extravagant, in your face, but an amazing balance and elegance that charmed me. It finished 3rd overall in the group. This is really a wine that you should age.

Quite rich, opulent. Not too complex or long, but good wine for the appellation.

Good wine, but definitely less concentrated and complex than the previous vintages.

It's a good wine, but the pyrazine is so predominant I thought this was a cab franc from Loire. In a good phase now, not too much evolution or tertiary notes but quite envoyable and well balanced. Give it 30 min of air to help it stabilize.

This was ultra green and vegetal... I feel like I was chewing on the stems... vintage effect? I guess this is a baby and will need much more time but not sure which direction this will go... definitely a different style of winemaking within the Douro.

As good as the last one. Beautiful fruit, very concentrated for the level. Will purchase again.

Very vegetal, seems to be coming from a cold climate. Has quite some smokiness to it. It's a good wine but we expected more for the given price.

Very lightly extracted wine. Pale color making you think this was blended with white wine. Nice fruit, very easy drinking wine. Everyone enjoyed it. Decanted 30 minutes and this was much necessary.

I seriously thought this was outstanding for the appellation. Nice balance right now, not really stemmy, no reduction, just beautiful fruit. The wine is singing right now. Loved this.

Made the mistake of opening this while it just got bottled recently. It's a natural style of wine that will need a bit of time settling in the bottle. Not rating at this point.

Open in the morning and drank at night as suggested by the caviste. Light color. Floral notes. Good fruit on the palate. Little to no oak, if any. Good Cote de Nuits wine.

Cuvee Fromenteau. Still very young but nice to drink now. Classic savagnin, a bit of spruce, and the acidity well controlled. Nice wine.

This is a higher end style of chenin blanc in terms of quality. Reminds me a bit of a Saumur Brézé because it has that burgundy-esque type of nose, but the mouth has lots of fruits, apples, pears. Good length. This is cellar worthy and can benefit from a few years. Well done. Only 1274 bottles made. #118

Beautiful nose, very nutty and buttery at this point because it's obviously very primary. Slight reduction to begin with. Mouth is not quite balanced at this point but you can see the potential of this become a masterpiece.

I actually really enjoyed this vintage of les Rayas because it's more ready to drink. I was also quite surprised by the lighter color of the wine (lighter extraction, or ripeness?) vs. the 2009 and 2010.

This was the most open nose and ready to drink vintage. Of course with probably less aging potential.

Beautiful wine with still numerous years ahead.

Very primary at this point, but the fruit is nice. Give it another 10 years before you open one.

What an incredible wine. It blew me away on the first nose, I knew this was very special. Such complex aromas, a bit of volatile but not annoying me, with an amazing length... this wine brought me everywhere. Simply amazing. Quite evolved at this point for this particular bottle I would not have waited any longer.

Released not too long ago. This is quite a typical, well made poulsard with medium extraction, but it's different from the signature darker color, bigger extraction, Houillon poulsard I've had in the past, say 2018.

I would let this sit a few years for the acidity to integrate.

Lots of reduction to begin with, but after 20 minutes the nose really came clean with lots of violets. Mouth has that typical olive brine, not much pepper and grip left. The nose is much nicer than it tastes I guess it’s explained in part by the weaker and colder vintage. Still a nice wine.

Tasting at the domain. One my favourites in the lineup today. 7-day maceration skin contact, not like an orange wine but more like a thick / textured riesling. I gotta say all the wines were pretty good and well made.

Young and powerful, but not too rustic as are many Cortons in my opinion. A great wine in the making. My favorite of the lineup.

Tasted at the domain. More elegant and lighter than the Corton which was more opulent. Still young so not rating.

Tasted alongside the 2016. This was more open for business than the 2016. Less green. Less stems than 2016 or vintage effect? Good concentration, but just a baby.

Very good Chassagne, buttery notes and quite long. Still a bit rough around the edges but should really improve in 3-5 years from now.

Quite a racy and straight chardonnay. Not very opulent. Not so much new wood to it. Contrasted quite a bit with the Chassagne next to it. Good wine.

I am unfamiliar with this cuvée but I really recognize the signature of the winemaker on this one. It was pretty farmyard to being with, but with time it became quite opulent and flavorfull. Drinks well right now, quite open and could age a few years.

This wine tonight showed much younger and more restrained than my previous time. The spruce and the citrus notes came out a lot, making me think the Savagnin is dominating over the chardonnay right now. Great wine just needed more time aging tonight :)

What a treat to be offered to taste this wine. Was offered during a dinner with Domain Francois Gaunoux. The wine is still very vivid, lively, typical of an sold Sauternes. Toffee, butterscotch but also some apricot fruits in it. Was conserved well and showed really well tonight.

I gotta say this one surprised me. I thought it would be super closed, but it's quite evolved. Definitely whole cluster. Some greenness. Good now but will be awesome in 5-10 years from now :)

Drank from a magnum. Beautiful nose, not too buttery, quite precise. The mouth follows less, because it's a bit too young. No 080\120

Pop and pour, sort of. Much more open than the '09. Again, the strawberry and red orange is there. There is definitely more age\evolution on this one. Vs. the 2009 we felt this has the lesser potential. But more open for business now. Great wine.

A tint of reduction to begin with. But beautiful, buttery, hazelnut nose as I would expect on a Meursault. Decanted half of the bottle which turned out to be a good idea. The nose was already great to begin with, but what surprised me is how complex the wine became. It kept changing. Reduction disappeared, then came apples, apricots, pineapples, pears, etc while keeping that Meursault nose. It goes on and on. A very precise and well made wine. The only defect it has right now it's that it's a bit too young. Wait a few more years if you have this.

Lots of mushrooms and tertiary notes at first that dissipated after a 30-min decant. Still very evolved with forest notes, but the fruit is still a bit present, and that typical greenness from Chile / Argentina. Few tannins left. Good wine.

Bottle bought in Jura close by Rotalier. Wine is still young and vibrant. Not at all evolved compared to the Chamois du paradis opened a few days before. A bit of spruce on the nose. Palate is very zesty, with a bit of apples. Good length. Solid wine but hold to this for another 2-3 years+
