Double decanted 2 hours before drinking, nose of dark berry fruit but not too much cassis, rounded with a hint of raisiny character, still retained some florals and a touch of spice, a bit more leather and super ripe blackberry with a touch of morello cherry, big body but alcohol heat didn't shine through too much, tannin was fine grain but present

Yum, citrus and white florals on the nose, still fresh and vibrant but would continue to develop another 5-10 years perhaps. Acidity slightly softened and rounder mouthfeel than current vintages, lime driven on the palate with great balance of fruit/acidity

Not bad for 23 years old! Cherry/berry cola on the nose with a hint of spice, medium bodied with stewed plum, blackberry compote, moved to a bit of sour cherry after a bit more air, cork was dry in the top half but bottom half disintegrated, interesting wine

Delicious! Started with citrus and florals on the nose moving into yellow peach once it opened up, very harmonious wine with great integration of oak, toasted almond, subtle creme brûlée, with a hint of honey and citrusy acidity. Still has another 5 years in it I think but great to drink it now too!

Day 2: more classic Condrieu with ripe apricot and ginger spice, apricot kernel on the finish, still amazing

Light golden colour, very aromatic with lots of honeysuckle and tropical fruit on the nose, lots of stonefruit on the palate with full mouthfeel without being too cloying and has a soft balanced acidity on the finish. Great with oysters!

Gorgeous light golden colour, nose of ripe golden peach with underlying citrus and florals, a touch of oak, in the palate peach and stonefruit explode which compliment the extremely well integrated oak and buttery characters, medium palate weight but retains beautiful elegance with some light citrusy acidity. Beautiful now but will be even better in a few years. I will have to buy a few more bottles to cellar. Excellent wine from a tough vintage

Decanted for 2-3 hours, cork had some travel, Incredible deep intense colour with no brick hints, slight pepper and heat on the nose, overt ripe (but not over ripe) blackcurrant, plum, black cherry, touch of port ish characters, vanilla, dark cocoa, cloves, strawberry, acidity is present but soft, extremely elegant tannin, very refined but still would last up to another 5 years, changes readily between glasses,

Always such a superb NV. The richness of Bollinger, with the elegance of Taittinger. Fresh citrus nose upfront with toasty oak and some bready characters, slight hint of smokiness but fruit is balanced but rich yeasty bread and lingering acidity to balance without being overly dry. Disgorged 2013. Charles can do no wrong

Deep blood red colour with raspberry colour edge, slightly smoky spice note on nose with slight floral characters, blackberry fruit, on the palate - dark berry fruit at the core particularly blackberry with raspberry finish, power initially, giving way to an elegant soft finish with God acid structure, refined tannin. Excellent wine, particularly for the price and as a great example of straight Cabernet Franc

Ripe berry fruit with cedar, smoke and savoury spice on the nose. Continues on the palate with more black cherry, bramble and ripe plum. A hint of florals with still reasonably prominent tannin. Ha softened with age but was a bit flat and lacking in he mid palate. Still great wine and very complex but was expecting a little more, especially mid palate. Maybe drink younger or decant in future and see if it just needed more air??
