Fizz at opening. Ok (minus), but expected more clear, long aftertaste, any other with similar experience…?

This wine must be at its zenith now! Very nice balance of red fruits and acid. Tannins well rounded off and hardly noticed. Had expected more expressed secondary aromas but these blended well in and I wouldn’t guess 16 yrs of age if tastet blind. Color of brim though, brick and watery, hinted of age. A very smooth, linear, long-lasting aftertaste wine. Last one :(

Balanced, long, smooth, straight line, explosive rich and consentrated, ‘fresh redfruits’, acidic, rounded tannins. Not a regular Bordeaux drinker so few references, but would never guessed 22 yrs of age if drank blind! Enjoyed it, but missed some more secondary age-aromas hinting of age and interest. almost ‘too smooth’.

Yellow. Sherry on nose. All fruit gone, bitter oxidized taste. Two bottles tried. Screwcork and sulphites, but flawed regardless. Cannot be mistaken for «organic»!

Promising new french oak and fruit on the nose but the taste doesn’t follow up, fruit faded, drink up!

Somewhat dusty with a hint to cork/defect. Some fruit still there, but in the background of the flawed taste.

Beyond it's cenit. Too little fruit to match the tannic tart backbone. Drink up!

A little dust on the nose. Does not give off much, but a bit red fruit. Powerful red fresh fruit in the mouth and again some dust. Probably more balanced in a few years, certainly enough fruit, but what about the dust? Bottle or general? Update: Dust disappeared after 1 hour. Next day more fruit on the nose/palete and still fresh.

Positive surprise. This bottle appeared with fresh fruit and had absorbed the oak well. I remember former bottles, from other vintages and drunk younger, as having excessive tart oak. On the other hand, no particular interesting secondary aromas.

Syrah & oak on nose. A "cold" smell. Tastes some medicine and syrahfruit , but overall, the fruitness does not balance out the more stringent elements. 7 yrs in celllar too long. (by the way, why not write essential info, like vintage & region, on the front of the bottle?)

Flawed. Smelled cork, fruit still there though.

Good bottle, probably enough fruit to benefit from a few more years in the cellar to get a smoother more developed wine. Ok now, but not special.

Too developed, a hint of sherry, but not flawed like 50% of previous bottles

New french oak on the nose combined with typical central-burgundy fruit. Fresh, crispy. Paired nicely with cod, peas, etc. Good wine!

Light with brown/ruby edge, promising delicate cherry stone on the nose, tart, flat, & difficult to find fruit in the mouth, dry finish. Is it possible that this will open up with air/time??? Tasted just after opening & cold. Suspicious after bad experiences with a cask of whites from this producer...! Bin-end 1/2-price, if something appears too good to be true...

Some secondary syrah aromas + fruit on the nose. Fruit, smooth but noticeable tannins, fresh, paired nicely with Osso Bucco style Elk. Last glass best, after 2h open and with food. On top now with the still good fruit or some years to go?

Good bottle. Secondary aromas on smell, but not that much on taste. Not in full balance - yet?

Smell of mint that blows away. Good wine, but the line lacks some consentration in the mid before a little bitterness in the aftertaste.

Too much acid at the time when first tasted back in 2005 at NS. Will keep the remaining bottle for some years.

Golden yellow, the wet wool nose/taste has disappeared since former bottle drank approx. 2006-Sydspissen with J & A-WT.
Nice acidity, some secondary aromas, not very much fruit (as expected from Chablis). Will it develop to something more interesting?

"Trocken" it was indeed! Very surprised by the lack of relative sweetness in this Auslese.
The color as well was surprisingly light. Had expected at least some yellow in this 14 yrs old.
Very frech taste, good acidity, appleflavours, long aftertaste. The typical riesling-aromas were not very pronounced . Blindtaster mentioned Alvarinjo and I can understand that.
What's the the relationship between the required sugar leven in an Auslese and what it took to make the 11.5% alc. in this wine (8.9 g/l residual sugar)?
Sydspissen 6/2008 ,with I+J+J, blind, deepfreezen X-mas rouqefort.

11th of 12 drunk 5/2008. Dark yellow. Brown winestone. A bit rotten apple on the nose mixed with good peachlike aromas. Some good fruit and fresh acid in the mouth, but bitter aftertaste first day. The bitterness partly/almost disappeared after 1 week in fridge. From nasty to interesting in 1 week. Will save the last bottle for the fun of it for another couple of years.
