This wine was super enjoyable. opened about 90 minutes before starting to taste and it was still opening up and hitting its stride as we finished the bottle several hours later. its definitely in secondary characteristics with some great leather and woody notes but plenty of fruit in support. well stored bottle with some luck should give a great experience for years still

Drank beside 2006 Tondonia Reserva. Could absolutely feel the kinship, with the Enfield having far more vibrant fruit being the younger of the two. But all the great Rioja notes are still there. I personally preferred the Enfield, which I think was the runaway consensus of the night. just so sad I only was allocated one!

Brought by Melissa directly from the PGC cellars. Killer wine firing on all cylinders. unmistakably Cali even made by Patty and Jim, but the abundant fruit has integrated into a well balanced wine in the prime of its life, but still not moved into that savory later in life characteristics yet, still feels youthful and energetic. But no reason not to drink this now it's fantastic.

Drank both bottles with Red Cross fundraising group. Crowd favorite of the night out of this, 19 Durant Madrone, and 2021 Wind Ridge, all of which were drinking well!

Drank both bottles with group at Red Cross fundraising dinner- both delicious and primary just getting to the runway of their lifespans.

Delicious wine. the hype is deserved with Bouchard, but if this is the base offering it makes me so curious about the next levels up!

This wine is really in its stride now. glad that Marcus and Megan offer these at late releases sometimes, because it encourages me to hold on to my Goodfellow wines knowing even the simplest wines can be like this with time!

Really nice wine. Coming into its own with plenty of time to go in its life. starting to move into secondary characteristics but mostly just opening up well and silky tannins.

Very enjoyable bottle, paired great with a variety of foods. Not aggressively tannic, a bit of good Syrah savory spice, but overall energetic dark red fruits and smoothness. always a winner

Well made entry level Chianti Classico. a joy to drink, good complexity for the level. went well with pizza but would stand up to something more serious equally well. just wish we could get the price I got at the winery here in the States! ($15 at the winery!)

really fantastic. drank over three days: held up no problem, so dont anticipate needing to be in a hurry to drink, but good youthful fruit and its approachable and fun to drink now. why wait?

From 375. in a nice place for drinking without a need for decant. savory, dusty Tuscan goodness with a bit of polish. great food wine!

Interesting wine. not typical rose drinkers but we liked this a lot as it was more savory than the average rose. not a pool pounder, had to think about this one a bit.

Really fantastic! still youthful. opened about 45 mins before tasting, but wine really opened up in the glasses over an hour or so of drinking. dark red fruits, a touch of damp forest floor. nose a bit muted at first but blossomed well as it opened up. decant now or hold plenty longer no problem!

Delicious wine. Great spicy nose, but with a nice bit of glossiness to it on the palate. goes with that typical brightness that all Chantereves seem to have well to give it great balance, plus a bunch of pairing opportunity. we had with a tomato sauce where that extra bit of mouth-coatingness was just right. love it!

Felt a little tired on first popping cork, but letting the wine have a little air in the glass over a half hour or so really let it come back to life. a good tasty representation of aged Burg... not mind blowing but enjoyable. well worth the <$50 I paid!

Day 2 it had fallen off again a bit, but still very drinkable.

Not sure where the ‘thin’ or overly acrid comments are coming from here, but maybe I’m just more used to Pinot noirs. This was really nice. Opened about 3-4 hours early and just slow-oxed it. Had a hint of bitterness but that made sense with the overall feel of the wine. Great with a bowl of chili!

This wine was firing on all cylinders right from the get go. Still let it slow ox for about an hour before really getting into it, but it was singing. Well integrated but present tannin, bright red fruit that didn't have a hint of tiredness to it, but with a nice bit of underlying iron/earthy secondary note starting to kick in. a really nice wine to start off 2023!

agree with others about this wine, couldn't be happier. lovely wine with a wide variety shared plates at a restaurant: worked well with everything from tex-me flavor to mushroom voul-a-vent to asian style dumplings. just wish I had another case of it.

In a great place right now. it is integrated, has started to move into those mature notes with some earthiness and leather notes but still holding on to fruit and holds up to food well. paired with bolognese and it was a great match. this is the spot you want to drink Rancia at. feels like it should hold here for a nice long time.
