This wine is almost unrateable. I get the risk of buying wine from a lastbottlewines.com, but this is absurd. The wine is either totally corked or totally cooked. I live in SF. 1.5 hrs from BP Wine's warehouse and I paid for the cold pack shipping. Something is wrong here.

Shame on BP Wine.

Wow, not sure why the Lots of acidity, but lots of fruit as well. No complaints from me. I bet it would pair great with food.

meh, no actually blech. No sign of fruit. Earth, earth and more earth. No backbone. No sign of PV character at all. Well, there are some tannins stil. But that's it. Why was this bottled and sold?

Yuck. Plummy, tasted almost bad, or old. But how can it be old, it's an '06?

wah wah - rather bland, just kind of there. Feeling rather confident in my decision to cancel the wine club, particularly after they decided to charge members full list price.

wow.....granted it's definitely a dessert/cocktail cabernet, but this wine deserves much better scores in my view. loads of vanilla, oak and sweet fruit (no sour cherry taste for me), I really enjoyed this wine. To be fair, I had some soy/worcestershire marinated skirt steak, so the salt probably helped offset the sweetness level of the cab, but man....I thoroughly enjoyed this bottle of wine. Wish I had more to experience the evolution.

Salmon anyone? nose was really fishy, even after a lot of air time. Taste was off too, very sour. Reminded me of some older Failla's, yikes. Thankfully had previously consumed a bottle a few months back, which was really enjoyable. Oh well. You win some....

opened bottle given by a friend, after he tried one and thought it was miserable. While I don't taste the supposed stewed tomatoes, I think it's safe to say this wine is lacking. Nose of dark fruit does not match up with an unfavorable taste of sour cherry. Watery for a syrah, zero depth. I have to admit I am biased toward South/Central Coast type syrahs for the most part, but even still...after some decanting time, wine seems to open up some. While not up to snuff with some of Ehren Jordan's best stuff, I don't think the wine was as bad as others experienced. Perhaps this was one of the better bottles.

popped and poured. Nose remained funky despite multiple swirls and a fair amount of time in the glass. Wine was thin, almost watered down. Not much going on at all. Disappointing, but it seems in line with the mixed bag of wines one gets on wine.woot.com. Would not recommend to anyone, even on sale.

popped and poured after drinking a 4 day old '06 Pali Momtazi, which really showed how corked or just how piss poor this wine was. WOW. This is as bad as the '05 Sonoma Coast pinots from Marimar Estate. Interestingly I bought this wine direct from the winery while visiting it in the fall, but it tasted cooked/earthy/no fruit just as the regular estate pinots (the basic Sonoma Coast Dona Margarita bottlings) did, which I purchased from LA Wine Co. Either '05 was a terrible year for them or they shipped a ton of cooked wines out and no one would own up to the fact, even LA Wine Co. I can't believe how much money I've wasted on this producer direct and indirect. Why buy this when you can walk in or call Rochioli and get a consistently delicious Pinot???????
