From a 375. Almost completely copper in color. Strong aroma of dried apricots. Notes of honey, tangerine and pineapple. The palate is still fairly viscous and saucy. Fat and syrupy. Plenty of sweetness but almost passed out of the sugary phase. It really shows that '03 character though with the lack of lift. The acidity just isn't there to make this pretty. It's delicious in a decadent way but not beautiful. Consistent over three nights. You could certainly give this another decade or two in the hopes it gets leaner but I doubt it will ever be complete.
