Smooth right out of the bottle with light tannic structure. It tastes of cranberries and red licorice. It is great today and will be amazing in 5 years.

This is a young wine that should probably sit until 2025-2026. The tannins overpowered the red fruit and pepper flavors for the first couple of hours that this was open. Showing patience, I drank it slowly to experience it over time and it really started to open up after 4 hours decanted.

If you are going to drink this now, decant it for at least 4 hours to allow the tannins to settle and then the complexity of this win will sing.

After only taking the first couple of sips from the glass after I opened it an hour ago for decanting (since it is young). It is very fruit forward but it has an herbaceous and mineral quality hidden behind the big fruit. It is young for sure and will only get better as some of that fruit settles letting the other qualities play a bigger role in it. The finale is very long on it and it reminds me of the 2014 Alpha Omega Dr. Crane in that it reminds me of sitting in front of a fireplace during a winter storm. The fruit I am getting on it is plum but I am not 100% certain that is all yet. So far it is delicious.

This Raen is pretty good. It is interesting. It is very tart red fruit like bing cherries, floral, with a moderate amount of cigar and tobacco. Very structured for a Pinot.

This is a fruit forward wine that tastes of strawberries, red licorice, and cola. It drinks smooth with low to low-medium tannins and a longer finish than you might expect that warms your mouth.

A smooth red blend that pairs well with pizza sauce and pepperoni. The light red berry flavors with a touch of tannins are good on their own but the whole thing is put over the top when pepper is added to the palate.

It is smooth, it could be more tanic, but it has a very pleasant cherry flavor with hints of tobacco and is well structured with a medium finish.

I decanted this for an hour before drinking but it really should have been decanted for 5 or more hours. It’s story didn’t start great but as it opened up it started to pull in pleasant flavors to build a solid experience. At its worse it told a short story about blackberries, blueberries, and vanilla with a hint of bitterness. After letting it sit for 2 hours after the first small glass, it brought in hints of vanilla, peppercorn, and bell pepper rounding out the experience. If you are opening this, I cannot stress enough, decant for 5 or more hours.

Tasted at the Rutherford Estate; this young wine shows all of the potential of an Atlas Peak cab. The tannin structure is big but should settle in a couple of years. The fruit flavors are big but currently are taking the passenger seat to the acid. Once this has aged a bit, the fruit should take over the drivers seat and bring some minerals in. I expect this to be an excellent wine as it ages.

Tasted at the Rutherford Estate; if you are looking for an elite wine that will pair with anything, this is the wine. It doesn’t have the boldness of the Tench or Stagecoach wines, but it maintains the same complexity. This wine will take you on a casual stroll though the valley vineyards and make sure you are happy when the adventure is over.

Tasted at the Rutherford Estate; this is the first vintage of an Alpha Omega Wine from the Tench grapes and all I can say is “wow.” I have never had a Tench wine so I didn’t know what to expect. I am partial to big and bold and this more than met the bar. It tasted of big red fruit, had great tannic structure, and left me wanting more. If the 2019 Stagecoach was my number 1 wine from this vintage, this is 1b. Everything about this was turned up to 11, in a good way.

Tasted at the Rutherford Estate; similar to the Drew single vineyard Cab, this is a very balanced and smooth wine. It is subtle in its excellence. It tastes of strawberries and cherries with slightly less acidity than the Drew. If you want something that is complex and smooth, this is a great wine.

Tasted at the Rutherford Estate; Stagecoach Cabs never disappoint. This is a big, bold, and beautiful wine. Everything is big about this wine which allows it to stay balanced. Flavors of cherry and vanilla blend with hints of acidity to create what is my favorite wine of the 2019 vintage.

Tasted at the Rutherford Estate; this is a balanced and smooth wine. The tannins are subtle yet present taking a back seat to the red fruit flavors within this wine.

Tasted at the Rutherford Estate; this is a big and bold wine that doesn’t disappoint if you enjoy mountain fruit. The tannin structure is bold but not overpowering. After a couple of years in the cellar, the boldness of this wine should settle, allowing the dark fruit of this to shine. Personally, one of my favorites from the 2019 vintage.
