Raspberry, dark cherry and evolving into strawberry. Beautiful nose faded with time but the palate kept evolving. Perfectly balance, silky, with a medium long finish. Wonderful wine.

4/30/24, 10:28 AM - It was easily approachable now but I have no doubt it will improve with some age. I like Burgundy young and I'm impatient.

Brought to Ken's for dinner. Other wines that night included a 2010 Haut Brion, a 1947 Yquem, and about another 15 wines of various vintages and quality. Truly wonderful evening.

6/12/20, 9:44 AM - As for the wine...decanted about 2 hours. Rich display of dark fruit, blackberry, and cedar on the nose. The palate was also rich, mineral laced, tannins were still firm. Perfect line of acidity, well balanced and a long finish. I actually think it may have been too young to open. It was still youthful and vibrant and there was just a bit of bricking.
