6/12/20, 3:04 PM - Behave, it is about wine critics. Everybody has an asshole and an opinion on wines. That’s mine, you have yours. Do you have any constructive comment to make or you just came to insult? You know what? I will do the same with your critics.
6/13/20, 7:09 AM - Dude, calm down on your own or I will do it. Enough is enough. Here it is a site for wines. Be polite and respectful to other. If you have a different opinion than mine, this is normal and we can debate. Insulting someone because your opinion differs, this is not normal. You can agree or disagree with other comments. You can comment or not. But this is the last time you have made a comment of a personal nature. Last but not least and in response to your assumption of my life, no it isn’t sad because I have humor
6/19/20, 11:24 AM - LoL Otto60, “.....Buying bread from a man in BrusselsHe was six-foot-four and full of muscleI said, "Do you speak-a my language?" Να είσαι καλά ρε φιλαράκο. Υγιαίνετε! Και ευχαριστώ για το τραγούδι
1/23/24, 11:04 PM - @Leroy de Hove…..yes! That’s a very good idea! Respect is earned in the octagon. I am already there, bring this chicken in!
1/23/24, 11:07 PM - @AaronMaxWell LoL I am printing your comment and going to ask Haut-Brion to pay me a 20% commission :ppPp
12/15/21, 1:40 PM - Just bought it 12.28 euros. The cavist told me “for me, the best assyrtiko out of Santorini”. So, high expectations…
11/5/21, 1:10 PM - Cheers mate. I agree
8/30/21, 1:59 PM - Hi Echinosum! Thank you for your reply. Indeed, it is a special wine, my cavist had warned me but I had never expected it to that extent! By saying “ladero” (which does mean oily), I mean fatty, greasy “buttery” in texture which as you mentioned not classic features for a red wine. Let alone the note of chamomile (maybe green tea as well)!!! It is of those wines that I really don’t know how to behave and treat them, on one hand I like it and on the other hand I dislike it. Yes, I am an ardent supporter of PAOK and I am still laughing that you confused me being a PASOK voter :)))). Best wishes and best wines Echinosum. Γεια μας! (Yamas…which means Cheers in Greek). PS. For the sake of multilingualism and diversity, it is always good to comment in any other language than English. Especially in Greek considering that oenology derives from the Greek words of oinos (wine) and logos (science)
5/21/20, 12:08 PM - My boss died and I inherited his property (cellar included....nice scenario for film, isn’t it? copyrights reserved). I received some positive and negative comments to which I am going to reply in a separate comment. Anyway, that’s me, half people want to kiss me and the other half slap my face. By the way, I explored the cellar which is huge and I found a second Yquem of different year, this is now 2005 and the previous was 2009, so no big age difference, thus they should be the same. Indeed! Again! Very sweet! I can’t drink it. Somewhere I read I can keep it for years, I won’t keep it for years but until next winter for mulled wine.
5/21/20, 12:54 PM - @Be.Line I said too sweet, I won’t repeat again. Do you agree or disagree that this wine is sweet? If you think this wine is dry, your palette needs service. Next@Rimbe is a smart guy@Jonboy74 500 dollars? American, Australian or Canadian? Edit your comment, now my rating is 53 instead of 83.@Nealefisher Cheers mate! I love you. Stilton is OK@Be.Lee (or Be.Line I don’t remember, sorry) second comment: we are talking about white wine (Semillion Sauvignon Blanc) and you are mentioning red merlot wines, you must be drunk@Rimbe (2) I owe you a nice bottle of wine@ I’d rather be drinking wine. Haven’t you learnt that 2 people can have different opinions? Do you know Democracy? Have you ever heard of it? Come on, let’s spell it together. Google it. Who are you to say my rating should be different? Better than me? I am going right now to lower it. Yuck fou! I changed the rate from 83 to 53. There will be hundreds rating 95-100, my 53 won’t affect the total score (you weren’t good at maths, right?), so leave me alone, if you don’t like my opinion nobody obliged you to read it Everybody has an opinion and an asshole. I have mine. By the way once you live in the US and I live in Europe, may I ask that it is you who respects the time zone? You are sending emails while sleeping and I am calling you names you don’t want to know
5/21/20, 1:24 PM - Thank you BonJovi74!
5/22/20, 12:49 PM - Just to brush up your memories, all of you, you came to comment my wine critics, I didn’t comment any of your wine ratings or remarks. So, stay within your entourage and don’t violate my personal space. Some of you, you were kind, some other elitists, some bullying and insulting me. I didn’t insult anybody of you (yes I said yuck fou to one that he thought he has any right calling me stupid when he is not in agreement with my opinion). Bear in mind that not all people have your knowledge, the same palette as yours and some (included myself) just started now being immersed in the wine world. I will keep exercising my right and freedom to say whatever I want and believe. The button BLOCK is there. So, you have two options: you simply block/mute me OR read, behave and don’t preach me! Equally I could do the same, to deactivate your right to comment. I won’t do it, I am very democratic and I am learning from constructive comments. Insults will be reported and you will be blocked.Last but not least, the particular wine was commented by 45 people. Only one received a comment and this was something like “thank you for your comment”. I received 17 (I asked that 3-4 comments made by rude “experts” that dared to insult me). At least, admit it, I spiced your routine and the monotonyWish you all have best wines in your lives and better humor. Stay tuned! By the way....I don’t understand all this fuss and attack, you all agreed with me! This wine is sweet! PAOK re mounia
5/23/20, 12:49 PM - Hi I'd Rather Be Drinking Wine,Thank you for your message. I hope you and your beloved are healthy. Judging me and commenting on my personal qualities without having known or met me before is by far more regrettable and condemnable than one commenting on a wine for which it happens you have a different opinion. You called me stupid that’s why I demanded your comment is removed. I know you won’t do it again, that’s why you are still here and able to comment on my comments. Nobody is allowed to knock my door and insult me. Now, you are directly attacking me as a person and lots of your comments are targeting not on wines but on myself (hints on my class, on my language...really what is next? My sexual orientation and that I am straight?) I will continue letting you comment mine but you are on probation period. Be careful. I will not tolerate again any attack on meYou are my favorite preacher and English teacher by the way here. Because of you I learnt new words like asinine and that Yqeum is a sweet wine. You, how many languages, do you speak? I bet 4: English, American, Canadian and Australian, right? You perfectly understand me, your comment on my English skills is unfortunate and commenting on one’s English when it isn’t her/his mother tongue, it is as if you blame a blind person for not seeing. By the way, My accent is much better than my writing! Very exotic! (Everybody loves it!) I won’t teach you English but surely I will teach you that there are people with different opinions, likings and palettes. Now seriously, could you please stop commenting on my comments? At least, store your energy for later. Stay tuned! More wine critics to come! The cave I inherited is huge and there hundred wines stored there. I have been bored of replying and repeating the same. This wine for me is a liquid wine jam. Good for jelly cubes for fois gras! (fatty liver...but I forgot, you are multilingual). On the top, no wine is worth costing more than 150 EUR.
6/19/20, 11:41 AM - Hi LiteMyFire, for me it is a sweet wine, definitively and unequivocally. But let’s wait first for the experts’ opinion (@Klizman, opinion derives from the verb opine that you used in your comment, right? Cheers mate)
8/1/20, 10:11 AM - @Bonjovi74, sorry for reading that you “destroyed” your fish sticks because of this wine! I told you! It is too sweet for fish sticks. There is no point in waiting for winter....I am going to have an iced mulled wine! Same preparation but just add ice cubes! By the way, I noted you commented on my comment on Petrus. Next scientific experiment, mix 2/3 of Petrus with 1/3 of this sweet white wine and you may get a nice off-dry rosé wine for apéro time (preferably with potato chips).
10/18/20, 11:18 AM - Hi Ispentalotsifmoneyiamvictimchinesewinelover, first the space bar is this bigggg button, yes this one out there. Click on it, nothing bad will happen. Second, I am Greek, read why ancients Greek used to add water in their wine (act of compromise). Third, thanks for your proposal for studying wine education, but I decided on producing my wine directly. Lastly, come on dude....no wine is worthy being cost more than 150 euros. Πω ρε φίλε, για Παναθηναϊκό σε κόβω, χάλια μαύρα.
12/18/20, 11:30 AM - 3rd bottle 18/12/2020 or 12/18/2020 for my Americans followers. Nose, zero. Taste, zero. Diagnosed with Covid. It is true, no taste and smell if contracted Covid. Confirmed.
2/26/21, 12:40 PM - @Puristica thanks for your constructive comment. I followed your recommendation and I iced the wine. No difference. I maintained my initial 53 score. Some ice cubes of d’Yquem will be useful for (censorship....but I bet on your imagination). Cheers ρε
12/12/20, 12:41 PM - Unfocused! The best adjective ever for wine! Cheers maye
6/12/20, 3:08 PM - You need your head examined
11/15/20, 11:01 PM - Dear Sastal,On the contrary, i am very noble and polite. AJBurt had a brilliant idea to come to my "home" (page) first and make an unacceptable comment, he wrote "you need your head examined" because he simply didn`t like my comments on one wine. I repeat it, because (s)he didn`t like another opinion than her/his opinion. Again, a comment on a wine, not something else more important. (S)he insulted someone having different opinion. In Europe, this is called fascism and we have learnt to destroy any kind of it. Read my past dialogue with her/him. It was for Château Haut-Brion 2016. So, now you know that i am not rude but responsive to a fascist who gets back she/he deserves - Comment posted by AJBurt:6/3/2020 6:46:00 PM - you need your head examined- Answer (Me): 6/12/2020 3:04:00 PM - Behave, it is about wine critics. 11/17/20, 1:43 PM - @AJBurt, listen pathetic, i can’t take you seriously. Αρκετά μου ζάλισες τα @@
11/13/20, 11:06 AM - True and actually what is insane? A price for a good wine under 20 EUR or 3000 EUR for an excellent wine. In my humble opinion, no wine is worth costing more than 150 EUR. The same goes for a meal in a 3*** Michelin restaurant. ΠΑΟΚ ρε
10/18/20, 10:45 AM - I paired it with charcoal grilled gilt-head bream. Not bad but a bit aromatic for my fish. But this is very personal, I do prefer Assyrtiko or Sauvignon blanc with grilled fish with olive lemon sauce. Cheers mate, it is a great wine
10/18/20, 11:58 AM - @Omar, hi mate, the fish I mentioned is very popular in Mediterranean, in French it is called daurade, in spanish dorada and in Greek τσιπούρα. It is widely sea farmed but when it is caught it is a sheer delight on grill. As for Assyrtiko, prices are sky rocketing. My preferences: Pyritis Karamolegos, Argyros and Gavalas but all barreled. T-oinos also barreled but not from Santorini. Best ever Assyrtiko out of Santorini, Theopetra partly fermented in barrel (and in half price than Santorinean Assyrtiko). I also find the SantoWines unoaked, a very good Assyrtiko at 10 euros. Also try some Thrapsathiri variety, originated by Santorini but being thriven in Crete. Cheers
9/20/20, 12:25 PM - Armenaki is a good reference. Gialos, best choice for grilled fish. Maybe I am a bit biased because it was there that I tried for first time tsipouro made from 100% moscato d’Hamburg. Thanks for your useful comments. Cheers
9/20/20, 12:00 PM - Είσαι ωραίος ρε μεγάλε!
9/4/20, 1:15 PM - It is incredible that you commented on May and July prior the date of my tastings! (August) LOL. Do I have to say where I found the bottle? Really?! Let’s have a quiz: a) en primeur (I hope you speak French or as a wine enthusiast you know what means), b) I am the owner of the Château Pétrus, c) all above
