Woh. This one coud go for many more years. Upon initial decanting (had to try a little right away!) it's holding together nicely. This is going to be great in about an hour and half. Already showing it's tobacco and eucalyptus, small amount of fruit. But tastng balanced already. Tight, but I can see what's about to come!

Good but not complex or overly interesting. Food wine.

Drinking great! I think perfect window right now. Barely needed decanting. Great fruit, great acidity, great finish.

It's only been open for 20 minutes right now. Very tight. Coming across acidic and sweetly spicy. Star anise? Really needs to open up. Have it in a decanter.
Open about an hour and a half. Bing cherry, opening up. Still pretty tannic.
I'd say, drink now.

The 2002 was not drinking as well as the 2001. Tried them one day apart. This vintage seems a little dead now. Consumed half, pumped the rest for tmrw. Will see how it does with a touch more time open.

This bottle has been in a wine fridge, and still tasted good. But was a little dead. Past it's prime. I think we waited a couple years too long.
If you still have this vintage... I say drink!

This was beautiful. And I was not a fan initially of this wine when I purchased it. The age on the bottle really mellowed this Shiraz quite nicely. Still had great fruit and body.

Very surprised that this held up. Still huge, but tasted more balanced than when I had it back in 2006.

Had with grilled salmon sandwiches. Very nice. Great for the price. Opens up quickly and nicely.

Not a "cocktail" wine. But a nice little inexpensive dinner white.

Still a big wine. Let it open it up for 15 in the glass. Spicy, brambly. Dark berry fruits. Drank it on it's own, but it would have gone well with some ribs, or any sort of marinated (berries?) meat.
I'm going to extend the community drinking window on this one. It's doing fine, wish I had another!

Great little Brachetto! Delightful, still had all it's life, and could hang out for a while more in the cellar.

Note- I am moderate with my ratings. For $10 there is a whole lot of wine in this bottle! Deep earthy notes. Not overly fruity. Blackberries, fennel, nice long finish. Big time value wine. After reading the other review, I'd say time in the bottle did this wine good.
