The nose is a bit closed, fruit has gone mostly. More round and fleshy than 2014. But less structure (acidity, tannins) than the fabolous 2015. Not that heavy and fat as the 2018 with almost 15% alc. For my personal taste there's again a hint of heatness (in the nose, not in the palate), but still very fun to drink, like a blend of California and Bordeaux wines, or even Tuscany?!It's a great Meyney, but in 2019 there are so many great wines in the same price range and then there is 2020 ... i do maybe even prefer the 2020!

a lot of dark red fruit, a hint of oak (surely not "overoaked"), juicy attack, medium body, nice acidity and smooth tannins. the wine has more the personalty of "burgundy" (in a positive way). Almost "easy drinking" on a elegant and high level, one can start to enjoy it already ...

But, there is a hint of hotness (alcohol), which i don't appreciate, that's in general my faible point... for others a non-issue, i know. But hey, still a pleasure! Btw, i did like 2020 even a bit more....

Zuerst zurückhaltend (Verschlussphase?), dann Schwarzbeerig, dahinter edle Barriquenoten, saftig-fruchtiger Auftakt. Dicht, breit und stoffig, aber nicht schwer, nicht mastig. Tolles Verhältnis von Säure, Tannin und Extraktsüsse... tolle Länge! Genialer Wein!

Noble and aristocratic bouquet in the nose. Very tasty, fresh, medium intensity, elegant and almost perfect balance. With present but very nice tannins. Quite long aftertaste. A great example for this classic year! And yes, 2014 might be not for all, for me it is! Maybe in 2-6 years on the peak, then potentially a 94-95 wine for me? I personally don't mind open another bottle soon...

Komplexe und sehr feine Nase, Petit Verdot bringt zusätzliche Würze! mittlerer Körper mit viel Frucht und schöner, eleganter Struktur. Etwas Extraktsüsse. Tannine sind präsent, aber keine Spur von grünen Tönen. Gute Länge und sehr animierender Abgang. Preis-Leistungtop! Ich mag den schon jetzt!

Reine Cabernet Franc - Würze (mit etwas Speck!), kühl, elegant, aromatisch tief. Top! Am zweiten Tag hat er noch zugelegt! Richtiger Schnüffelwein und enormer Trinkgenuss. Kein Powerwein, nix für Primitivo-Fans😉

Etwas Pflaume in der Nase, dazu riecht man fast den kalkigen Untergrund (oder meint es zumindest), etwas Holz, aber sehr zurückhaltend eingesetzt. Am zweiten Tag zeigt das Bouquet deutlich mehr an Ausdruck, mehr reife, schwarze Frucht und Würze. Im Gaumen vollmundig, aber von mittlerem Gehalt, etwas Zwetschgen, Caramel, gute, nicht übermässige Extraktsüsse, tolle Struktur geprägt von schöner Säure und präsenten, jugendlichen (aber gut ausgereiften) Tanninen, die sich in den nächsten Jahren sicher abschleifen werden. Langer Nachhall mit salzig-mineralischem Abgang. Natürlich zu jung. 14,5 Vol. muss man auch mögen, zwischen 16- 18 Grad ideal,erst wenn er wärmer wird, wird er etwas "hitzig". Super Preis! 90-92 Punkte.
