Dinner at Scaramouch. Does it get better for 1er Cru? If it does I have not had it. Perfectly balanced dark fruit, almost floral and earthy at the same time. Seamless palate with long finish. Time to drink up.

Meaty earth spice bright red fruit black tea. Sexy sexy wine.

One of my favorites in an extravagant Dujac lineup.

Just released and drank in a full vertical of d'Ambonnay (95, 96, 98, 00 and 02). Awesome energy and verve. Strong acidity but not out of balance. Great lemon and toast with plenty of minerality and chalky notes. Some brioche and creme brulee. This is easliy a 50+ year wine with plenty of upside.

Starts of bright red cherry with high acidity. Blinded I would have guessed 96. This wine improves by the hour. Black fruits and a hint of soy and smoke. A lot lingering savoriness on the finish. I agree this is reminiscent of of an aged northern Rhone. This palate and nose builds for 3 hours and I suspect these bottles will take another 1-2 decades to peak.

Incredibly open and forward. Soft on the palate. Lots of apple and honeyed fruit. A completely different showing than a previous bottle a few months ago.

10/3/15, 2:07 PM - I've had this twice. One was open and the other tight and acidic.

    If you have a case...why not? :)

Amazing potential. So structured and so wonderful. Beautiful. Dense. Dark. But this needs 15 years min.

6/9/15, 9:01 PM - Purely guessing of course but 10 years from now minimum if you have several. 15-20 years from now if you only have 1 or 2.

So far have had about 6 of these. The color and taste is more advanced than it should be. The color is dusty red. The flavor profile is now savory with wonderful salinity and pretty red fruit. There is nice spice on the nose. This looks and tastes like it's 10 years old. Purchased directly from importer and consistent with a prior lot. Odd but drinking well now.

12/4/13, 2:36 PM - pclin. This is drinking very well now. Integrated and balanced. No harsh 2008 acidity. At least my case from my source is.
