The yeasty notes from prior tastings are much subtler and a slight apple aroma is now predominant. A very pleasant experience on a rainy, foggy day in the holiday season.

Deep color and very fragrant upon opening. No cough syrup as someone suggested. Very pleasant fruity nose and darker fruit in the backdrop. The first few tastes support the early impressions. A rich, full, multi-layered wine which will be especially good with homemade pizza later. A very pleasant experience. Wish I had more in the cellar.

According to the Community this wine is outside its drinking window. With this accepted bias I proceed to accept what this wine has to offer. The grassy and acidic character is gone but the honey and rounded fullness is still a great accompaniment to some quiche appetizers before dinner. Less fresh and lively than the bottle I had last year but still very drinkable. Hint of apples, perhaps pear.

Very nice surprise in this well priced bottle. Had no idea of what to expect but this was a pleasant experience of wonderful aroma followed by mellow fruit and pleasant and long finish. No unpleasant tastes. Paired especially well with roasted chicken. Would definitely buy more of this.

The tasting of this wine was a first for me but turned out to be a pleasant one. The color is pale light straw. The nose is clean, fruity without other distractions. Apple and pear were suggested as being present and I would definitely agree with pear. The first taste mirrors the nose. Clean, fresh, fruit with a medium soft finish. Over the next hour the nose and taste hold up well without much change. Very pleasant experience.

A deeper strawberry color than many rose. The nose is muted but with warming opened a little. The taste is definitely subtle berries with a medium finish. Its light without other tastes to cloud your impressions. It's a great lunch wine, especially when the sun is shing. Pop, pour, enjoy. Its a rose.

From the moment I looked at the cranberry color in the glass I knew this was going to be a good bottle. The nose is young fruit and definitely representative of pinot. The taste changed over time. First was wonderful presence of berries and a hint of sweetness. Over time, a deeper range of tastes developed. Went particularly well with grilled pork chop unincumbered with BBQ sauce. Pork done well on the grill and pinot. Hmmmm. All in all, a great bottle.

Deep crimson color characteristic of barbera. Initial nose is reserved with faint mustiness. First taste is fruit with no predominant notes. Dark berries perhaps a hint of prunes. Fruit is close to syrupy. After an hour, the fruit becomes more alive matched with a morefruity nose. At 2 hours wine is a smooth, creamy, friendly and memorable. A great glass of juice. Definitely a Drink me now or drink me later wine.

Typical deep crimson color with an initial pleasant nose of dark fruit. Dark fruit without specific labels continue in the tasting. Medium finish which is almost creamy. At 2 hours, wine is still basically fruit but now with a sharpness which screams "Notice me." Definitely a Drink now and drink later wine. Great value from a solid producer.

Great dark color. Initial nose was replaced with a wonderful fruity aroma. Went well with ravioli and vodka sauce. Nice fruit, nice finish. Very good Italian wine.

This is a wonderful wine experience. This wine reminds us to be open to what the wine delivers. Yes, the comparisons can be made, but all in all this is a nice wine experience. The initial blast of aroma was merlot for me. The aroma developed over time and went through some transitional periods and then again sat on a strong bench for a while. I found the balance between the merlot and cab an experience not to be missed. Enjoy the dance. It is all around us. In any case, great wine and can't wait to try another bottle or two.

Great color, nose was unspectacular with no special aromas detected. Tasted a little harsh and was much better the second day and also better with food. So many better wines tasted from this region.
