A wonderful expression of California Platt Vineyard Chardonnay. The aroma of pears, apples, and spice is exactly what you taste. This delicious wine is full and balanced with minerals and juicy acidity. While it is enjoyable on its own, it is excellent with dinner.

A wonderful mix of raspberries, strawberries and baking spices on the nose and and in the mouth. It’s a medium bodied wine with silky mouthfeel and a nice finish. This is one of most delicious Grenache based wines I’ve ever had from California.

Big peppery zin with blackberries, a touch of citrus peel with fine tannins and a long finish. If properly cellared still has some years but it is ready to drink.

This is one of the best zinfandels we’ve had in a long time. It’s a big wine with complex aromas of blackberries, dark currants, black pepper, and hints of licorice. It’s just as delicious in the mouth with brambly fruits, fine tannins, juicy acidity, and a long smooth finish. We had a bottle and now we wished had purchased a case!

I cannot really add much to the previous tasting notes. This is the first time I’ve ever tasted this wine. It is unique. There is some oxidation but it adds rather than detracts. There are floral notes, some stone fruit, minerals, and a nice acidity. Although it’s high in alcohol you would never realize it without looking at the label. I would agree with others who believe there are many years left for those of you lucky enough to have some in your cellars.

A nice surprise. A quality Bordeaux for the price. It has red currant, plum, and some leather notes on the nose and in the palate. It is not a powerful wine but is nicely balanced with fine tannins and a medium finish. A very good wine with a meal.

We loved the bouquet of ripe pears, some citrus, and minerals. These all show up on the palate along with juicy acids that balances everything out. An added bonus- the long follow through that lingers on and on until the the next delicious taste.

My wife and I opened this wine for the Annual Open That Bottle (OTBN) night. We've owned this bottle for more than 40 years. Over the years it has been moved and often poorly cellared. Figuring that the wine had long ago turned to vinegar I was never going to open it until reading Dorothy Gaiter's recent OBTN blog.
I was surprised that the cork was in good shape and came out in one piece with an "ah so" wine opener. Also, the wine was still up to the base of the neck.
When poured, the wine was red brick in color and it initially gave off a funky smell along with cigar box and some leather. After swirling and sitting the "funky" was gone and replaced with dark currants and plumb. In the mouth, there were notes of tobacco, herbs, some dark fruit and fine tannin. We drank it over a couple hours and saved a couple glasses for the next day. The fruit became more raisin-like the following day. The wine was still alive and delicious! It would be an understatement to say that we were happily shocked by this old nearly forgotten Boudreaux!

I can't add much to all the previous notes. This delicious wine is powerful yet elegant, fruit balanced with spice and fine tannins, and and enticing in the glass and on the pallate. A group of us loved this wine as we enjoyed it wth grilled steaks. I believe, properly stored, this Syrah has many years left to enjoy.

Inky red and a lot ripe cherries, blackberries, and spices both on the nose and palate. All the fruit is balanced with smooth tannins, juicy acids, and spices. It is hard to believe it has15.5 % alcohol! This is one of the best Zinfandels we have had in quite some time.

First time tasting a Quart de Chaume. A huge nose of honey, orange peel, dried apricot, baked apples and spice. This is very sweet but the sweet fruit, spices, some minerals are nicely balanced with acidity. Every sip is creamy and juicy with a long follow through! What a wonderful wine that in my opinion should age for at least 10 more years. We wish their was more in our cellar!

Delicious big California style Chardonnay. After nearly five years there is a bouquet of spice, ripe pears and a hint of vanilla. In the mouth, there is fruit, some cream brûlée that is totally balanced with a juicy crisp follow through at the end. It all ends with wanting to take another drink to repeat again and again.

A dark red brick edge wine with aromas of dark fruit, minerals, some cedar and cigar box. It is a delicious, complex mouthful of ripe fruit, some cedar, fine tannins and a long finish. This turned out to be a wonderful wine with a special birthday meal of prime rib that we had at home. If you are fortunate to have some in your cellar, enjoy it over the next few years. This is a delicious chardonnay. It has a light nose of stone fruit, pear, and some spice. The palate is filled with fruit, spice, minerals, and a juicy medium finish. This is not a wine for those who want a buttery creamy heavy chard. It is a great food wine that is definitely ready to drink.

This pinot is big, balanced, complex and delicious. As the nose opens, there are cherries, ripe raspberries, spice, some cola and oak. The palate is consistent with the nose. The fruit and spice is balanced with juicy acid, smooth tannins and a long finish. This is great with food or just sipping. It is ready now but should last a few more years if cellared properly.

We drank this over a two day period. The first day red berries and sour cherries with notes of oak stood out both on the nose and in the mouth. Day two the berries and cherries were still there but now there were hints of spices and licorice, and the sour edge disappeared. Everything mellowed out. Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed the wine both days but would decant or give it some time to really get all that exists in this zin.

The wine is dark red with brick colored edges. It has a complex bouquet of Cherry, Black currant (cassis), Cinnamon, and Minerals. It is a smooth mouthful of Mineral, Black Pepper, Tobacco, and summer fruit. Overall, this is a medium bodied wine with fine tannins and a smooth texture that has a pleasing medium finish. It definitely should be drunk over the next few months.

This juice is inky, garnet - almost black with a huge aroma of blackberries, cassis, chocolate, and spices. The palate is almost overwhelmed with black fruit, spice, a silky elegance of fine tannins, and a finish that goes on and on. I know this wine has all the signs of big rewards with age, but it is so good now it's difficult to wait to find out!

Aromas of cherries, berries, mushrooms, and a palate of ripe fruit, spice, and earth. All of this is framed in a silky mouthfeel, fine tannins and a nice finish. This wine is one of the few California pinots that remind me of French Burgundy.

Completely forgot about this bottle. Tried to open with "ahso" opener but cork fell into bottle. Decanted. Musty off notes but also cigar, leather mineral notes. A glass or two were interesting with some of the same notes on the palate. Wine quickly faded. It was way past it's prime. Not sure how good the wine was in its prime. We would not give this a rating but have tasted equally aged Boudreaux of othe vintages that were wonderful, unlike this wine.

Ripe red raspberries and bing cherries jump out of your glass after the first swirl. I noticed a touch of jam but my wife who has a much better nose than me also noticed kalamata olives along with the berries and cherries.
The fruit juice was smooth with fine tannins and a medium finish. There was a complexity of favors balanced by some oak and acid. This went great with a grilled grass fed strip steak.

Dark crimson with candied fruit and vanilla aromas. The taste is dominated by ripe bing cherries, some spices, wrapped in a silky smooth mouthfeel and finishing with a little heat. Even though this big Pinot will never be confused for one from Burgundy, this was a delicious and enjoyable dinner companion with our aged grass fed ribeye.
