Still very youthful, tightly wound, structured with rich body but huge passionfruit and lemon acidity. Needs more time

Tasted at Convivial. Opening aromatics of leather, pepper, dark sweet berries with seductive undercurrents of ‘green’ that haunts at the periphery.
Palette, is med-heavy. Soft supple tannins, that engage the front and mid tongue. Sinking luxuriously into the middle tongue and front upper gum region. Acid is firm and gentle. Unravels into a sweet guava finish.

An hour on: acidity and body have integrated. Body feels medium. Acidity is bright. Vegetal and floral aromatics come to the fore. Jambi flavours still persist but structure is tighter and lighter

Aromas of marzipan, baked apple pie with cinnamon, mint, cherry.
vibrant juicy acid structure that ebbs and flows on palate, leaving zingy electricity that crecendos at finish. Probably no Malo?
Notes of marzipan linger in finish.

Tasted at La Ciau del Tournavento, Barbaresco.
First time having a single cru Timorasso. With 8 years of age, greeted with notes of honey, magnolia, fresh pineapple. Palate is unctuous, rich, with a slight bitter almond finish. almost Condrieu-like, but with a firm solid acidity, that grows into medium-high intensity at the end: indicative of its Italian origins? Activates mid palate and roof of mouth.
Finish, is long, pleasant and clean.

Tasted in Osteria del Vicoletta, Alba. 2 years after Barolo’s iconic ‘blow up’. Prunes and preserved fruit variants, Black Forest, black olives, slight leather and after moment: delicate florals linger at thee peripherals. The palate is smooth and refined, round delicate. Tannins are long grainy but refined and have softened into succulence. Finish long gentle seamless from beginning to end

Drank at Restorante Antica Torre. Opening notes of tomato, basil- like minestrone, roses, cherry and Black Forest, liquorice. More fruit than earth to begin. Palate: clean, clear, mid body. tannins: on front gums and tongue, fine sandy, long grained, sweet and fruity in mid palate. Dry on back. Lingers for 2 mins. Sweet preserved fruit in back palate: slight oak on finish. Finish is clean, crisp. A well made, very manicured wine.
