August 26, 2023 - Buttery intense aromatics. The length is simply absurd. Classic DRC Montrachet in style. (25/2028)
June 22, 2022 - Drank over 10 hours. Started with mild gunflint, minerals, and monstrous viscosity. More citric than sumptuous from second pour onwards, then density and concentration revived after 8 hours. Precision is something to behold, albeit in parabolic fashion. 235/2028.
November 20, 2021 - Wine Tasted at Acker Auction (Marea - New York NY): In 83/00/10 vertical, small tastes of each. All three were brilliant is such different ways that I could have agreed with any of the three as best or most enjoyable. This was most likely the most complex of the three vintages tasted, with perfect combination of rich fruit, subtle spice and brilliant textures, but with just slightly less density vs the older vintages.
November 20, 2021 - JK's 50th Birthday: 00279/2028. So much focus and concentration in this bottle. Perfect ripeness, quite perfect for that matter. 97+
March 9, 2019 - Among the best whites I have ever tasted. Incredible tangyness and nuance. Nose of lemon, nuts, zest, minerals, stones, flint and match stick. Lees and nuts on the palate along with an abundance of freshness. Exceptional nuance and clarity. Perfect balance of all the components.
February 4, 2019 - DRC Montrachet. February 2019.: Very, very good, but a vintage for me that will be harder to enjoy young than many others.
February 2, 2019 - beautiful clean yellow color with a touch of green. nose of lemon pie or biscuits/tart...fills the mouth from front to back and side to side with a noticeable texture but its dancing not heavy. very long and pleasant finish, this was a awesome drink but the wine also is very young. this will get better and better for quite some time i think
March 16, 2018 - DRC Richebourg vertical. As good as it was last year. Stunning citrus and gunflint aromatics, lots of evolution over 3 hours. Unctuous palate with slightly bitter finish today. Bottomless depth. (0000/2028)
December 22, 2017 - Beat your 2017 WOTY Dinner: Blind. Smoke, slate, musk, pear, oyster shell, orange, apple and mint. Rich with plenty of sweetness to the fruit, though there is really good depth and cut through with a great line of acidity. The fruit feels deliciously pure and it has superb length. Not as showy as the other couple of DRC Montrachet that I've had, but it wasn't surprising that is was a wine of this level when revealed.
December 18, 2017 - Small glass and brief note but this was killer. Super nutty and leesy. Incredible texture that I have not seen in any other wine I have ever tasted. So smooth and silky. Plenty of lemon and lemon drop. Happy to have tried this and from a great year. Hard to justify the price but this is great juice for sure.
