Magnum. Sesame heaven, rich, ripe, precise acidity which captures the best of the vintage. Super long and mellow finish. Impressively elegant given the heat, almost too balanced. So clean, so clear, so deep, sooooo good. 95-96

Magnum 000181/3586, advanced color, lots of residual sugar, even some petrol. Honeysuckle, clean chaomomile flowers, rich, heavy, creamy. Ripeness is translated with superb clarity. I cannot take my nose off it (easily 98-100pts), charming, regal, what a garden. Damn that deep heat. 96 for what is in the glass, should be much higher.

P.S. empty bottle smells like smoked roasted honey sweet potatoes. Incredible life of substances.

00643/3541. Great structure, sunny fruit, so big. 95+

00279/2028. So much focus and concentration in this bottle. Perfect ripeness, quite perfect for that matter. 97+

15787/19789. So Vosne, muscular but soft, stemmy, lacy, classic DRC. Served blind to a friend who correctly identified the wine, that is how classic it is. 95-96 with further upsides

00754/22140. Drank over a few hours, truly superb when it resolved. Big, perfectly ripe but not overly so, super detailed. I enjoyed this a lot. 95-96

00097/600. Little taste, sesame heaven, so much weight. 97+

Vosne, so Vosne. So perfumed, structured, big, expressive, but all in great harmony, whatever positive descriptions there are, this is it. 96+++

Reserve 0349/1607. I did not think this was a perfect bottle, some Vosne aromatics but not nearly as expressive/Jayer as the other two bottles. Not fair to rate.

Reserve 01005/1494. My favorite of the flight in 96/99/00. Superb aromatics, so lacy, so pure, but so dense. Almost glass-like crispy acidity. Ever so slight step behind the 2001, but very classic. 97

01809/5603. Some notable greeness which blend well with the acidity. On this occasion not as expressive as the LT but an amazing wine for sure. 96+

001763/4408. One of the best vintages for the Domaine, and this is no exception. Heavenly aromatics, perfect balance, sweet, rich, chewy, dimensional. Crazy, my favorite today. 97-98

007108/9120. Always one of my favorite vintages for the Domaine, immediate ripe fruit and sweetness, super attractive. Ever so slightly behind the 80 in terms of complexity (despite it being very very complex itself), but what an attractive nose. 97-98

1429/3301. Superb aromatics so different from the range of DRC on the side. Reductive, metallic, purple fruit. Chewy, great potential. 95+

Superb acidity, rich, chewy, some (but not at all overwhelming) petrol notes as it warms up. Really really delicious. 96-97

Woody, tight. Not super interesting to be fair. 92+

This was glorious, ripe fruit, complex, elegant and smooth. So much power and finesse. 95-96

Some florals qualities, but dirty and somewhat dead.

Second time tasting this, coming together more than last bottle. Clear, composed. 94

This is like a candle, emitting flavors and it does not stop. Concentrated, rich, heavenly, everything what a perfect wine should be. Some slight signature bitter aftertaste that is so refreshing, pinching deep at every inch of the tongue. Graceful, forever heat. Super memorable with the balanced acidity. 100

Bright, dense, great flavors. Mistake to drink it next to with 71 P3; this pales like water. 93-94

Magnum 0067. Reminds me a lot of recent Leflaive, bright, sesame reduction. Amazing weight and clarity if less mineral and reductive than the domaine wines. 95-96

Served blind. Classic old school Burgundy. So sweet with perfect ripeness, blue fruit, lots of earthy notes but very clean. 93-94

Pretty dead.

Tight blue fruit turning compact, forward but very subtle, great aromatics and weight. Every new glass is better; plenty of upsides from here. 94-95+

Not the perfect bottle but turned clearer after time. Smells like Dom but a little sweeter. 94

Great vintage of LMHB, super classic aromatics with weight and clarity to match. 94-95

Side by side with 1982. Ripe, mellow, smooth, spicy. Absolutely perfect wine. 100

Woody, cool but ripe, sweet, this is a lot better than last bottle, when drunk on its on. Pales slightly next to the perfect 1989. Composed palate. This is holding up nicely. 97

Magnum. Such a classic vintage for Chave, high berry acidity, woody, so beautiful, singing today. 94-95

Much better condition than last bottle. Nose suggested similar profile but the palate is deep, compact, and full of energy. Singing today. 93-94

Blind, shyer than last bottle. Seems like this vintage is very shut across the board. Some blue fruit, very good balance, lots of substance. 95+

6L. Fresher than previous bottles (understandably), acidity seems to be more balanced, very complex. 95
