March 23, 2024 - Side by side 2002 GA. I think the chardonnay in the 2002 is just better than here and probably makes the 2002 a better champagne, but overall this is still going strong and is a great wine with life ahead
February 11, 2024 - Classic brioche, golden apple, honey. Still fresh, acidic, plenty of bubbles. Three glasses went down effortlessly.
February 6, 2024 - So much pure power here. Consequently not the most elegant but so many flavors to enjoy. Seems time to drink this within the next 5 years or so.
January 10, 2024 - Really showing off. Manly, accent on the Pinot, myshrooms, spice, tobacco, real depth, sous bois; drinking a point.

December 21, 2023 - Holiday Champagne Gala (Wilmette Harbor Club): Walkaround gala tasting. Very big, very bready with long, well textured finish. Not my fav style, but very good in that style.

October 3, 2023 - Flat, dull, below par. Again.
September 9, 2023 - This wine is in a very good window right now.
On the nose: White chocolate, creamy fudge, vanilla and dried mango.
On the palate: Candied lemon, kumquat, vanilla and sherry.
Long finish
August 6, 2023 - Deepish straw, and somewhere between full maturity and being a little past peak. Big, lactic nose, with hints of Chelsea buns, sea air and something sharp and smoky, but more freshness would have been welcome. Massive on the palate, with notes of apple juice and roasted hazelnuts, and some apple compote on the extremely long, chalky, delicious finish (which was my favourite part of the wine; if the nose had matched it I'd have given a much higher score).
