May 11, 2016 - Burgundy 2012 at Flatiron (Flatiron, SF): Clos de l'Ecu - a monompole of Dom. Faiveley
    Pale ruby in the glass.
Ripe nose, with warm roses, slight struck match (reduction), classic pinot reductive sweaty plum, multiple shades of cherry, slight development, slight brett (warm dog fur), modest toast from oak (maybe 40% new?).
In the mouth, medium bodied, elevated alcohol (feels 13% - correct), medium plus acid and diminished tannins.

October 28, 2015 - Floral and redfruit notes on the nose. Medium bodied and showing mainly red fruit with red cherry and strawberry upfront and backed with very nice earth and mineral notes on the finish. Has some of the trademark Burgundy elegance, but isn't quite there yet in terms of depth and complexity. Quite structured on the finish and still felt a bit tight, but not surprising for such a young wine. After being open for about two hours, it smoothed out noticeably. I expect it will improve and score higher in the future. (Restaurant De Silveren Spiegel, Amsterdam)

June 27, 2014 - Tasting at Domaine Faiveley; 6/27/2014-6/28/2014: Darker red colour. Peppery spices and earth notes on the nose. Savoury notes on the palate with powdery, refined tannins. No coarseness, but not especially complex either. Drinking well now, but good potential for the future.

February 7, 2014 - Wildman New Release Burgundy Tasting (Peninsula Hotel - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Very good red and black cherry character with nice structure and balance. Very good length, just a bit firming on finish. Probably a very good value wine, 87-89 point potential.
