November 18, 2022 - The bouquet is still reticent, but shows white fruits. On the palate grapy with fresh white fruits and good acidity. The alcohol shows a bit, but nevertheless a beautiful wine.
October 26, 2022 - Took about an hour to open up, very nice wine but was expecting alittle more from this bottle.
February 29, 2020 - UWS Leap year dinner (@ CdW and KvdK): Flowers and white fruits in the fresh bouquet. Same on the palate, good acidity and overall a beautiful wine.
April 7, 2019 - I had high hopes for this but it was limp and uninteresting. Letting it warm did not help. My professional wine friend and I, over a great meal at a local restaurant, both agreed to it's resounding lack of anything interesting !!!
I am a great believer in Janasse and am hopeful that this bottle is not typical, at the same time I'm happy I don't have more.
July 1, 2018 - Cata 279 de la Penya La Verema. Último clasificado. 60% garnacha blanca, 20% clairette y 20% rousanne. Amarillo con algún destello dorado. Nariz tostada, toques de hierba seca, algo de fruta con hueso. En boca el ataque es bueno, el paso cremoso, con acidez media, toques de hinojo y bastante longitud.
April 7, 2017 - Winery Visit; Domaine de la Janasse, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Rhône, France.: In the bouquet ripe white tropical fruits and some perfume. On the palate juicy white fruits, some pleasant sweetness and mild acidity.
