February 3, 2024 - Sample tasting at work (Oinoscent): Courtesy of customer, bottle opened for a few hours
Pale red color, ethereal nose, fragrant, floral notes, dried red cherries, some earthy notes in the back, spices too.
Beautiful, decadent palate, red fruit, cherry, cranberry, juicy, nice silky tannins, shows texture, depth, forward, med body, med to long finish
There is a certain evolution here though, not exactly balsamic but on the dried red fruit going to cooked or marmalade
February 6, 2023 - Pop and pour. On the nose: rose, cranberry, spice. On the palate: mid weight, fantastic acidity, solid density and fine tannin. Elegant, without being flashy. Fantastic with mushroom, comte and ramp omelettes.
November 23, 2022 - PNP followed over several hours. I am far from an expert but this had nice complexity. Red fruit, some sour cherry, some earthy elements, a bit of oak.
October 1, 2021 - excellent depth for this level of wine
February 13, 2021 - Drank from bottle over about 4 hours, after about an hour it really became nice. Floral nose with some cherry and raspberry, flavors are red fruited, cherry, raspberry, strawberry, done cranberry, mildly tannic, moderate acidity and a long finish, my 3rd bottle in as many years and this was the best! Very nice! Paired well with a Big Mac.
January 24, 2021 - Decanted in Mag decanter. Needs some time to breath. A lot of material needs to unfurl. Serious Bourgogne and the last vinified chez Laurent involved. I was advised this plot lies within or near Chambolle-Musigny.
June 9, 2020 - Dark fruit, forest floor, grainy tannins and good balancing acidity, firm and ageworthy.
June 7, 2020 - Decent villages level bourgogne. Full bodied but light on the palate which never overpowered the food complimenting the uni squid, red prawn pasta and wagyu tenderloin. Good value at US$ 40 a bottle.
January 29, 2020 - Nice mixture of red and black fruits on the nose, though it veers more towards black fruit. Flavors are the same, moderate acidity, no tannins, this was very nice.
