December 11, 2023 - Annual holiday get-together (St. Genevieve): Drank a small glass over 1 hour. I love the brioche on this champagne, while there is also acidic energy that keeps it light.

December 10, 2023 - Annual Tasting Group Holiday Party (St. Genevieve, Mpls, MN): Pale gold color. Drank a glass at the holiay party reception. Consistent with previous notes. This has such nice toast and brioche notes with plenty of brightness and acidity. Glad there's more in the cellar. I'm curious to see how this will compare to the St. Vincent, though the notes so far are disappointing on that. 93+ to 94pts.

August 24, 2023 - Excellent/Outstanding. Yes, a rich and powerful style but with great mineral cut. Brioche, baked apple, quince, pear, some marzipan. Long creamy finish, goes on for minutes. Lovely. Drank well over two nights, properly capped.

Happy to see a couple more of these slumbering away, glad I accidentally bought this twice with Envoyer four and five years ago at $60 as that represents very good value, IMO.

July 26, 2023 - I LOVE this Champagne. It has been consistently excellent over the 5 bottles we've enjoyed over the past 2 years. Rocknroller captured this perfectly; almond, toffee, pear, brioche, with a perfect (for me) balance between the acids, flavors and intensity. Really striking and over delivers.

The only problem I have is not being able to keep my hands off them.

July 26, 2023 - IPNC Weekend 2023; 7/26/2023-7/31/2023: Light gold color. Drank a glass over 40 minutes at Le Pigeon in Portland. This was shining again tonight. Had this last, just over a year ago, and this bottle was every bit as good and probably better. Autolytic nose, almond, toffee, pear and brioche on the nose. The palate is equally toasty, pear, almond paste, zippy acidity, very bright with excellent length and intensity. 94-94+pts.

July 20, 2023 - Beautiful, crisp, brioche, pear, floral. Long on the finish and getting more complex with air. Lovely stuff here.

May 19, 2022 - Okay....Luis Rides Again.....Horseless! (Someday Luis, you will need to attend one of your own tastings! (The Kenwood, Minneapolis, MN): This was surprising delicious for a 2012, which I expected all acid and way too young!

Nose: Lots of brioche and ocean breeze, with some hint of tropical fruits.

Palate: Lots of toasted brioche with plenty of saline and oyster, also notes of tart apple, almond creme and citrus. Plenty of acidity, but not overwhelming, which is what I expected. Nice mousse mouthfeel.

This was the best white for my palate, and I enjoyed drinking it. Seems like a pretty good QPR given the quality and the vintage. A solid 93 points, and seems like a very crowd friendly Champagne to pour for a special gathering, especially if it includes non-wine drinkers. Very friendly Champagne for everyone!
