November 12, 2022 - Wines at Jordan's wedding: Everyone managed to guess this as an Oz Shiraz with dense, dark blue fruit. I really dislike wines with overt vanilla on the nose and chocolate on the palate. Too clunky and sweet.

October 2, 2022 - Dark red colour - quite dense. cassis, black fruits on nose. Lovely flavour - dark fruits, vanilla, leather and a little bit of aniseed. Very smooth mouthfeel with a long finish. This is drinking very well and is very enjoyable. Probably could go for another couple of years - wish I had more bottles.

    June 3, 2022 - Appearance - Deep ruby with a garnet rim (3)
Aroma - Black fruits, chocolate, eucalyptus, smoked meat, hint of coffee (4)
Taste/Texture - Vanilla and liquorice into black fruits. Mintiness on the finish. Velvety tannins, everything well integrated. Med-full body, with just enough acid to keep in balance (5)
Aftertaste - Lingering, creamy black fruit and vanilla. Excellent length (3)
Overall - A pleasure. Some years left in it, but drinking well now. Opened up in the glass over an hour (1.5)

November 24, 2021 - Initially even more pungent and porty than the 2004 - honestly tasted well beyond peakā€¦.BUT this blew off with time in the glass to reveal a beautiful wine. Plums, blackberries and tobacco.

January 29, 2021 - Absolutely fantastic juice. Wasn't sure what to expect, have sat on these since I visited the winery in 2007, have been burned by more than one Aussie that turned into jammy prune goop. Not this wine...

Beautiful palate, improves with 15-30 min of air.

November 26, 2020 - Showing relatively balanced and pretty, but still recognizably New World fruit here; good varietal character and a wine pro friend correctly called it as syrah when blinded.

July 28, 2020 - Decanted for 3hrs. Rich fruit and cedar on the nose. Aniseed and vanilla. Not too jammy or sweet. Still has tannin structure and acid balance which lingers. Should go well with the roast lamb almost ready to come out of the oven.
