March 14, 2009 - Burgundy About Town (Various Vinous Venues, San Francisco): The biggest of these 3 wines. Deeply tannic and more earthy than than the Savigny or Chorey, but also has lovely, pure fruit. Very good.
March 10, 2009 - Martine's Wines Portfolio tasting (MK, Chicago IL): nose: good nose of tart dark red fruits, loads of earth tones, minerals, and spices. Good medium depth and classic beaune
taste: very high acidity at this stage that is making it hard to get much from it. Some tones of dark red fruits, dark cherries and spice tones
overall: hard to fully evaluate at this time. The acidity is overbearing right now. There is a lot to like on the nose and what did come through on the palate was excellent. Just needs time at this stage and should develop nicely
