February 4, 2019 - Weekly tasting group RWP #319; 4 random flights of 3 wines (@ BS): Herbs, ripe berries and cherries and some mushrooms in the bouquet. On the palate juicy red and dark berries, mint, vanilla, some bitterness, good acidity and slightly sticky tannin.

August 13, 2018 - Delicious as usual. No formal note but this cooler year really made a nice wine at this property.

Drink or hold for another 5

May 9, 2016 - Deep red with brighter rim. Black currant, tar, kudzu, bramble, black pepper and licorice on the nose. The wine opens up over 2hours, getting dusty. It has intense aroma, soft tannin but lacks of acidity, freshness. Jammy and simple structure in comparison with my expectation. As thinking their illustrious name in Bourgogne, I feel somewhat disappointment. Find other hidden treasure in Languedoc at lower price. Alc. 13.5%

February 10, 2016 - Intense dark fruit when opened, but settles and shows more dried herbs and earthiness. Lovely structure with great transparency and a refreshing lift. Long finish and elegant tannins. The Burgundian influence seems obvious. What a great way to bring out the potential in century old carignan and grenache vines.

April 14, 2015 - Still some tannin and baby fat. Some grip. Should resolve in 2020.

    Revisit then, drink or hold.

August 24, 2013 - Capsule and cork perfect. Popped and poured
N: lavender, strawberry, and quite surprisingly, no booze or ether.
P: Filigreed structure, no bitterness, and a plush texture almost making me doubt there wasnt a bit of grenache in there.
Very well balanced and so delicious. Kudos on making this sing in challenging conditions.
Plenty of life ahead, give it at least 2 to keep mellowing, methinks.

April 27, 2013 - ワイン会 (ミエル、横浜市戸部): This wine is the best "Burgundy" I've had for a long long time. Anne and JPT have brought their skills and vision to Minervois... And WOW what magic they have wielded over the Carignane grapes they found here. Started off as an aggressively fruity wine that upon decanting filled the kitchen with beautifully pure and fruity aromas. Made us smile with anticipation.

3 hrs later served at the tasting:
Grande! Elevated nose with underlined minerality, round fruit and raw wood.
In the mouth this is first of all rich, concentrated, structured and mineral in its expression. The full body is well supported by M+ acids and M+ tannins. Elegant harmony. Restrained beauty. Mid-palate is occupied by sunny fruits that still allow for the mineral tastes to intertwine. The finish sports the previously mentioned raw wood, fabulous fruit and bitter almonds.
Only btl, really looking forward to the magic they have wielded in my 2 btls of 2009.
QPR for this one beats anything from the "other part" of Burgundy.
