November 19, 2015 - not a rebuy at $119, this was very nice, on night one it was dark, rustic, with drying tannins, on night two it had mellowed a bit and was better with hints of red fruit blending in with the darker base, good acid, just a hint of sweetness to balance what i would say is an austere core, less drying but still drying... good but not great and only good on nights 2 and 3... if i had one more i would wait another five years but the outcome would be uncertain

November 2, 2015 - Lovely nose of vibrant red fruit. Delicious paired with rabbit. Well worth waiting 20 years: who says Burgundies don't age well?

April 13, 2012 - A whole lot more open and approachable than the 1993 tasted alongside.
Sour cherry nose with tangerine, florality, dried herbs and barnyardy animality.
Medium to fullbodied palate with refreshing acidity and nice grip of tannin. Dry style, but with good concentration of fruit. A bit furry and funky - but only on a complementary level. Coffee notes and minerality towards the finish.
    Quite approachable and definitely good.

April 13, 2012 - A Red Burgundy night in Helsinki (Classic Wine Cellars, Helsinki, Finland): A bit muted on the nose at first. With enough air (about one hour) the nose becomes very nice with lovely complex quite high toned darkish fruit. Really lovely velvety mouthfeel. A little brother of the 1993.

June 23, 2011 - Disappointing. Faded rather quickly.

May 20, 2011 - Tasted alongside 90/95 Lafarge/Lafon. The 95s were showing much acidity and structure, with the Lafons darker and more polished than the Lafarges.

January 24, 2011 - Good clarity, lovely nose - expressive, cherries, earthy,... good weight on the palate. Seems better than prior bottles.
